Sandhya Rani Gudapati

I posted a review online recently about Dr. Sandhya Gudapati and sent Sunny Hills Behavioral Health in Fullerton's office email concerns about my treatment from Dr.Sandyha Gudapati and she terminated my services with no notice which includes high dose medications for my mental health that I cannot stop cold turkey. This is called retaliatory patient abandonment with no notice which puts patients at very high risk. There was no justified reason given why other than a pathetic excuse that they feel that I should find a different provider if I am not happy with her and that they are sorry they cannot meet my needs.They made no effort to meet my needs and they have multiple mental health doctors at that office. I will be reporting her to the property medical and pharmacy boards and other appropriate departments. Dr. Sandhya Gudapate is very rude,is impatient,does not care about at least me as a patient regarding my symptoms,feelings and situations.She always downplayed my feelings and says… its just situational and according to her I was doing fine even though I frequently told her Im not.She ignored and disregarded the seriousness of my mental health issues as if I were always an annoyance to her and didnt want to hear any compmaints.She said I talk too much every time I tried to talk about anything or even answer how Im doing.She always said to get a therapist,which I have tried.The Neuropsychologist I had at Sunny Hills Behavioral Health, Dr.Mina Shalaby,was rude as well and dropped me as a patient when I stood up for myself.They are close friends.Go figure.Despite what he diagnosed me as,and she has even signed her name to it to the Social Security Administration,she won't acknowledge there is anything wrong with me verbally when we talk because she refuses to listen to me and she tells me how I apparently feel.She was also uncooperative and unhelpful about assisting me with getting reasonable accommodation assistance,which involves my medications and diagnosis involving her practice.Don't expect her to respond to emails either.She also takes a long time regarding prescription refills and is always very late for her appointments.Her and the office staff at Sunny Hills Behavioral Health do not care if you aren't supposed to be off of your medication for any amount of time.She absolutely refuses to let me switch medications because according to her all meds within the same class of drug work the same.She has literally fell asleep during one of my appointments with her.Thats how unprofessional she is.If she was that tired,she could have rescheduled.Especially since Im such a bore to her.She could be held liable to patients safety for this treatment

I have been seeing Dr. Gudapati for years. She is reserved but interested. She knows what works for me and I never have problems getting my necessary medications.

Ease of access driving to the meeting. Payment made well. Dr Rani listened and was really professional nice and good psychiatrist.

Wonderful Doctor. She listens intently, provides feedback and explains her recommendations. Been a patient for chronic issues. I could not be happier with my decision.

This doctor does not care. Poor knowledge. Gave me very strong medicine. She spends only 10 minutes for appointment.

Dr Gudapati is by far the worst psychiatrist I have ever been to in the last 15 years. I went early on in my recovery and she was unkind, inpatient and grossly unqualified. She treats you like a Guinea pig. She was annoyed that I was having a VERY difficult time adjusting to medication and treated me like I was a nuisance to her. I would never recommend Dr Gudapati to anyone and I think her medical license should be taken away. I surely would have caused harm to myself if I would have continued treatment with her. She is awful! If you care about your well-being, do not see Dr Gudapati.

Horrendous and borderline unethical. My medication was running low and I’m leaving the country. Dr Gudapati is the last Dr I saw and my insurance contacted her to approve the refill. This is a non narcotic anti anxiety medication I’ve been taking for 15 years. She insisted on seeing me first and didn’t have any appointments for weeks. I told her I’m happy to see her in a few weeks when I’m back, but for now I just need a temporary refill until our appointment. She refused. Again, this is a non narcotic anti anxiety medication that I’ve been taking for 15 years. This is absolutely ridiculous and I would not recommend using her.

An excellent Doctor. I've been her patient for 15 years. Last appointment I had the with the doctor, she was on time She never forgets one detail about your life. She knows you without notes. I haven't met a medical office staff I like. So no comment on the clerks. However she has a managing staff which is courteous and extremely efficient. I believe that she calls them the way she sees them, not the way you want her to. Good umpire!Nonetheless, she often agrees with you. You're in good hands. Whatever she makes, it's not enough.

I feel very comfortable with dr. Gudapati. She always remembers me, and helps me with my issues so that I can be productive in life. She has helped me and she is trusted by me and my family.
