Dr. Sandra Lee Bellin, MD

Words cannot even begin to describe the miserable experience I had with this doctor right after I gave birth to my daughter. She was the fill-in for my doctor who began his vacation right after I gave birth...I would've NEVER had this woman as my doctor if I had a choice. She should NOT be allowed to practice medicine-I CANNOT stress that enough. This happened 13 years ago and to this day I am disturbed by how incredibly rude and verbally abusive she was to me.

Awful OB... If you want someone who actually cares for your well being, find a different doctor. Can't be bothered to read charts, ignores health concerns/problems and rushes you out of the office. Complete opposite of thorough.

Delivered our first child years ago and Dr Bellin was disorganized, dishonest and arrogant. My husband and I are professionals but she the closer we got to the delivery she still couldn’t muster humility to deal with other professionals normally as her arrogance consumes her. Trust me, if I had seen this hubris early on in the pregancy visits we would have left that practice pronto. The delivery was an awful experience. I had to have surgery immediately post-delivery due to severe tearing because of way she delivered our baby that left me in considerable pain for weeks because she did not perform it correctly. I then went to Dr Kiwi, a phenomenal and ethical doctor and he told me that Dr Bellin had removed all mention of the tearing and post-delivery surgery from my files. He also told me that because she allowed me to vaginally deliver such a large birth weight baby given my very small frame that I am very fortunate that I did not lose my pelvic floor. My parents wants us to sue her… then but I didn’t have the emotional energy but looking back I should have filed a complaint. I believe Dr Kiwi may have retired by now but go to his former practice group at the very least and avoid her at all costs because she is unethical and dishonest. I would give her a “0” rating if I could do so! I have to believe there are malpractice suits against her or ones that have settled. Stay away...far far away...

Every appointment i go to for prenatal care she makes rude comments about me being a larger woman. It's rude and uncalled for and I've never been treated so poorly by a doctor before. Think twice before letting her handle your prenatal care.

Anyone considering Dr. Bellin as their gyno I highly recommend you find another. I had the absolute worst experience with her and her staff. I drove an hour to make my appt. Only to be told I didn't have one scheduled for that day. I 100% percent did because there is no way I would drive all that way if I didn't. I made them see me! The nurse was rude and Dr. Bellin talked down to me and was so arrogant. She made some comments that upset me and after my appt. Was over her nurse yelled down the hall "Elaine, all your results are negative!!!" I was so embarrassed. Please, if you value your time and your body Do Not See this Dr.!!! She is a disgrace.

My wife and I should have seen the signs of her disorganization during our prenatal visits. She was confused on more than one visit about what patient she was consulting, and had to be reminded. At one visit she complained about how busy she was, and it gave me an uneasy feeling, but my wife assured me she was highly recommended. The true disappointment was the day of our delivery. Dr. Bellin was preoccupied with dinner plans, and made it known there was a tight window for her to make it. She stressed how important the dinner was to her. There were some issues with the delivery that may be up for debate as to what was right or wrong, but one clear violation stood out to me. Dr. Bellin removed some tissue from my wife, and stated she would send it out for a biopsy as it worried her. We checked with the hospital, and they said a sample was never turned in. We will never know if this was precancerous or not. To me, this Shows a sign of disorganization that could lead to… larger, costlier mistakes. There were minor issues I overheard the nurses discussing having to do with the delivery, such as possibly forgetting to suction the mucus from my child. I'm not sure if this was a preference in technique, but her prior disorganization and scatterbrained bedside manner led me to believe that she was not entirely focused. We will definitely never use her services again, and would suggest if one is using her as a doctor to see for yourself. I wouldn't risk something as important as the delivery of your child with this doctor.

saw dr bellin for severe menstrual problems...she had to be prodded to issue any sort of treatment...never ever returns phone calls, unable to obtain mri test results....neglected to prescribe alternate script when original was not covered by medicaid....will file a complaint with AMA
