Dr. Sandra Caskie, MD

LOVE Dr. Caskie. She is the ob/gyn both for me and for my daughter (whom she delivered!) Dr Caskie is my go-to person for all of my questions and I have found her to be unfailingly calm and personable in every situation. She is always up to date on the most recent information, is non-alarmist, but careful, and very caring. She is a wonderful physician. Wish I could say the same about all of the office staff. I like the nursing staff, but it is almost impossible to get them to call in a refill on a prescription in a timely way. This lackadaisical attitude toward responding to patient prescription needs has been a sore point with me for a long time and is something that the practice really needs to address, because irritation about having to call multiple times for a refill eats away at satisfaction with the physicians in the practice.

Dr. Caskie's laid back bedside manner is great for putting me at ease. The appointments are thorough and I don't feel rushed. I've had nothing but good experiences with her practice.

She diagnosed me immediately even though I'd had incorrect diagnosis previously. The tests just confirmed her diagnosis. She spends plenty of time with you, calls back and even gave me her e-mail if I had questions. I was pretty upset about the diagnosis and had been waiting in another room to get some blood drawn. She saw me and came over, sat down and talked to me, very kind. Getting a prescription refill over the phone was a little problematic but overall the staff is ok.

Dr. Caskie is a fabulous physician who I have trusted with my life several times via surgery. She is caring and takes so much time with patients that it's worth the wait. I have been with her for over 13 years, and even though I have moved from the area, I still return to see her when needed. She has always been honest with me about my conditions, and has been especially sensitive to my history of sexual assault. I have no problems telling her everything about my history because she is so understanding. I also feel that she is exceptionally bright and I know that many doctors and other healthcare workers trust her with their personal OB/GYN care. She is a "doctor's doctor" and she has a great reputation among my many friends who also seek her out for care. But make no mistake, as sensitive as she is, she also tells it like it is and won't take nonsense from anyone. She's the best advocate a patient could have and I feel fortunate to have had such great care for the past 13 yrs.

Bottom line: She is the best OB/GYN out there. She is very caring in an area of medicine that often needs a feminine touch. She is tuned into current medicine as she teaches young residents next door @ the hospital. Every diagnosis she has made over the years with me has been right on. She delivered my daughter through 26 hrs of labor and an emergency C-Section. That 19 year old sees Dr. Caskie for all GYN needs as does my 85 year old mother. Dr. Caskie's biggest fault is how much time she spends with each patient which impacts her schedule. She can't find a way to compromise her patient needs. So you will wait but in the end you will definitely feel it was worth it! We always have...

If you go expect to wait and wait and wait and wait. If you have nothing to do but sit at the doctor's office all day this is a great practice for you to pick.

Nothing was plesant about my vists to this office. The office staff is rude and incompetent. I called numerous times asking a question about lab results and it took 3 and a half weeks to get a call back. I needed a prescription filled and it took two days for them to call it in and it was not the correct amount even after I asked THREE times to make sure. The doctor on call was paged three times and never called me back.
