Dr. Sandra M. Hurtado

I met Dr. Hurtado yesterday after seeing reviews online about her bedside manner. To give a little background, I have had multiple Ob Gyns in the past 5 years after one of my favorite Ob Gyns stopped practicing. Lets just say that the Ob Gyns that I have seen before meeting Dr. Hurtado have been subpar if at best and to find a good ObGyn is extremely difficult in Houston. Since losing my favorite doctor, I have been desperately looking for the right Ob Gyn as my husband and I are looking to expand our family. My main criteria for picking out the right Ob Gyn is for the doctor to have compassion and to make me feel as if I can trust them. Yesterday was the first time that I met Dr. Hurtado and I immediately felt at ease with her. As many of the reviews have said, her bedside manner is genuine. She didn't rush my visit and answered all my questions very thoroughly. I understand that doctor's nowadays are rushed to provide service, but more doctor's like Dr. Hurtado are needed especially… in this field when many women need help and support on women's health issues. Being a doctor isn't always about how much you know (though I do think Dr. Hurtado is very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience in her field which is an added bonus), but its also about being there for support. Dr. Hurtado is definitely what I was looking for in a doctor and I am so excited to have found her! I look forward to maintaining my relationship with Dr. Hurtado and hope to have her deliver a healthy baby for our family soon!

Dr. Hurtado was my first OBGYN and I can not describe in words how comfortable she made me feel during my 9 months of twin pregnancy. Initially, I did think that the wait time was a little high, however, as the pregnancy progressed, I realized that the wait time is high for a reason, because she never made me feel rushed and answered all my questions with as many details as possible to make me confident about carrying my twins. She has amazing bedside manners, she is polite and calm, and understands how a first timer needs care and attention. I thank her for her efforts in helping me during and post delivery. I cannot forget how Dr. Hurtado made three trips in a day to visit me in the hospital room and missed meeting me each time because I was in the NICU with the babies, but she came back for the fourth time as I had requested her staff to have her visit me to explain about my condition. Excellent doctor, great staff !

Dr. Hurtado was my second OBGYN doctor, and it was the best decision. She has great bedside manner, she takes her time answering all my questions and concerns, best of all she is caring. She definitely has never made me feel like Im just another number. Yes, sometimes i have to wait a while but I completely understand because she will take all the time she needs with each of her patients. I will never even consider switching doctor!

I really love my GYN Doctor Sandra Hurtado. I have been seeing her for about 8 years now. She is very caring, attentive to your needs, gives you your options so that one can make the best sound decision. She's a busy doctor because she's very good at what she does and I am usually seen in a timely manner except when she's having to unexpectedly have to deliver a baby. I highly recommend her and have recommended her to even a co-worker.

Dr. Hurtado is very detailed and explains every detail during the examination. I love her bedside manner but her nurses do not follow-up or pay attention to details.

Dr. Hurtado is very attentive and patient. I had my first pap smear with her and she walked me through the whole thing.

I have nothing against dr Hurtado - she is very caring, thorough, and a wonderful obgyn. In fact for this reason Alone I was willng to put up with the horrific wait times. But no more. One time to wait 2 hours to be seen is one thing but EVERY single time and 4 visits later my average wait time has been 2 hours! It's beyond ridiculous and says nothing good for the efficiency of their scheduling. There should be no reason for her to even accept new patients if she can't handle her current load. I'm looking for another doctor in houston. If you are pregnant look elsewhere- cannot imagine spending an entire day sitting on uncomfortable chairs while 6 months pregnant.
