Dr. Sandra Denise Rodriguez

I have taken both my daughters (4 years old & 1 year old) to Dr. Rodriguez for about a year now. I was thrilled to have found a pediatrician with friendly staff & a clean office. However, the care my girls have received while under Dr. Rodriguez’s care has been subpar to say the least. Though her office is diligent on vaccine schedules and check ups, she has consistently been uninterested, dismissive, and honestly negligent when it comes to my children actually being sick. On numerous occasions, I have brought one or both my girls in to be seen by her only to be told things like, “her lungs sound clear, so keep doing what you’re doing & her cough will go away on its own”, or “we won’t use a catheter to get a urine sample from your daughter because it’s traumatizing”, or “her ears look fine, there’s no irritation” . Every single time I’ve had to take them to an urgent care or ER not even 2 days later to be told they do in fact have an upper respiratory infection, or they do in… fact have a full blown “swollen & red inner ear with obvious puss”, or that they do in fact have a very serious UTI. I was even asked by one of Dr. Rodriguez’s nurses to take my 1 year old to the lobby with a bag taped to her vagina to collect a urine sample because they were ready to close their office & wanted to clean our exam room. When I called to voice my concerns & try to get answers, I was told that if I didn’t like the way Dr. Rodriguez operates, I was more than welcome to find a new provider for my girls. DONE & DONE. I’m sorry I wasted so much time & put my children through such discomfort hoping Dr. Rodriguez or her staff would eventually come to their aid.

The worst run office. Long waits (even with first appointment of the day) and no call backs. You have to constantly check in with and wait on them for referrals, prescriptions, scheduling, office visits, etc.. Verges on the edge of incompetence.

I really love Dr Rodriguez. I chose her after she was the doctor on shift after my son was born. She's easy to talk to, laid back and I like that she encourages a healthy lifestyle as part of a whole medical approach.

Dr. Rodriguez spends time talking to her patients to make them comfortable during the visit. My daughter enjoyed her visit.

Dr. Rodriquez is very good. The problem I have is trying to schedule an appointment. Usually when trying to schedule you are given a voice mail and asked to leave a message. You are lucky if they call you back the next day. Today I was able to actually talk to someone when I called, unfortunately I had to sit on hold for 20 minutes before I was able to schedule an appt. I guess this is better than getting a voice mail. I will probably be changing physicians soon due to the hassle involved with scheduling appointments.
