Friendly, conscientious, knowledgeable, good listener, attentive.

Dr. Rood has not been helpful or knowledgeable. She has horrible bedside manner and does not seem to genuinely care about her patients. There were some obvious cues missed on her end that led to disappointing interactions.

One of the most condescending people I have ever had the privilege to work with. So glad she is no longer my children's pediatrician!

As a first time mom she's been an amazing doctor.. she takes the time to answer any questions and doesn't make you feel stupid for asking them.

Dr. Miller is fantastic! She was very thorough and efficient when evaluating my son. She explained all of our options and helped me decide what was best for his health needs. She has a wealth of knowledge! She is also very kind and recognized when I was getting anxious about certain health issues, and knew how to ease my mind from all my new-mom worries. I think she is amazing.

My 33-year old daughter, an educated professional woman, took her 3-year old daughter to see Dr. Miller for treatment of an illness. My daughter and her family had recently relocated to Oregon from New York, after she and her husband both lost their jobs due to the economy. My daughter found employment in Eugene, but did not have health insurance. She was undecided about whether or not to have her child immunized. She was unable to afford any health care until her child was finally on OHP. Dr. Miller saw the child once for the illness and once for the follow up. At the follow up appointment, she abruptly stated to my daughter, "I see you don't believe in immunizations. I'm a strong advocate for health care. Therefore, I will not see your child again." She walked away without asking for any explanation, and without allowing my daughter to explain her situation. Thus, my daughter was forced to rely on emergency department/urgent care for her child due to the fact that no other… pediatricians at that time were accepting new patients on OHP. Therefore, I strongly recommend against anyone taking a child to Dr. Miller for health care. Her physical condition (she is morbidly obese with unhealthy-looking skin) and behavior indicate she is NOT an advocate for her own health care nor the health care of children. I believe she makes decisions regarding children's health care based on her personal bias (my granddaughter is of Mexican descent and was on OHP), and she is not interested in taking the time to gather information to inform her decisions.
