Dr. Sangeeta Arora Bhargava, MD

She decided to perform an anal exam to check my 11 yo son for constipation. Did not tell him what she was going to do, just told him to take off his pants and underwear and lay on his side. I couldn't see because my son was facing me and she was behind him but she either did not use lubricant or used too little. My son screamed out and cried in pain during the examination. This was yesterday and he is now in pain when he sits and uses the bathroom. What kind of Dr does this??? She has zero empathy for children. She should not have specialized in pediatrics anything. Keep your child away from her. My son is completely traumatized. Beware!

Dr. Bhargava is the second Dr. to treat my child. I went to her after a failed attempt at diagnosis with another Dr. My first appointment with her really demonstrated that she is the right Dr. for us. Before the first appointment the office worked with me to get all my child's medical records from her previous gastro, her pediatrician and the hospital. On the first appointment she had already reviewed all my my child's records and asked us to tell our story in our own words. She asked good questions about our regimen and some follow up questions about our treatment. She takes careful and thorough notes. We ran some basic tests (skipped by previous dr.) and got us on a better path to treat my daughter. Dr. Bhargava will use data and facts to make her diagnosis/treatment plan. She's not afraid to tell you the hard truths. I think some may find that tough to take, but for me, I want the truths to help my daughter. My daughter has never been better. I will continue to work with… Dr. Bhargava even though she is further away than other Dr.s and I may have to wait longer to see her. I know she is giving her other patients the type of care I expect for my own kid.

She was the most unprofessional and rude doctor I have ever meet. She told.my daughter to hurry up because she is running late ..she did not take the time with me to explain anything she was doing and did not care ..I'll never go to this doctor again.

I'm glad we've found a friendly, helpful gastroenterologist for my special-needs son. With many diagnoses, Dr. Bhargava has always been helpful -- even on weekends and nights -- when something has developed. She's seen us in the hospital, office and returned calls promptly when we're home and trying to determine what to do. She's precise, accurate and thorough during appointments in the office. I'm glad she's on our team.

It took the office 5 days to refill my daughters prescription for Zantac after I called 5 or 6 times. They wouldn't do it when i asked in advance to avoid this problem & didn't care that my daughter was out of medicine for 3 days. They lied and said the pharmacy didn't send the request when they did- twice. Also every appointment lasted 2 hours because you have to wait over an hour after your scheduled time to see the doctor. Not to mention my daughter was called fat multiple times when she is 7 months old & a lil chubby due to the rice cereal she has to have for reflux & the dr kept telling us to give more- completely unnecessary. She also told us to feed her spinach before the appropriate age & give karo syrup- even though it causes infant botulism. This practice is a JOKE!!!

I too was one of those parents who read the good and bad reviews. The first day she seemed nice and ordered an endoscopy after that it all went down .you wait the longest time in the office for her about 2 hours and then she is in a rush. has no time to answer question and doesnt listen to the parents concern. When I told her that the drug she prescribed were to strong and causing palpitations she still wanted me to keep her on it for 60 days. come to find out she was addressing as I suspected the wrong issue. I would not recommend this doctor to any parent and feel bad for those children whose parents are trusting her treatment options. Needless to say my daughter is getting better with completely diff treatment option.

Before you see this physician, do your research! I read Dr. Bhargava's poor online reviews, but did not take the advice. I should have because the reviews are accurate. The office staff is distant and unhelpful bordering on complete disinterest in the patients. Dr. B is fairly uncaring and initially misdiagnosed my son as having constipation when in fact he had full blown ulcers! She never apologized for making him suffer weeks and made me feel like a crazy mom for insisting she check further. When it comes time for payment however, she and the office staff are like pit bulls and she way overcharges. VERY expensive. Find another pediatric gastroenterologist if you can!!!!!
