Dr. Sanjay B Jatana, MD

Dr. Jatana has been my spine surgeon since 2008! I had 2 prior surgeries (1 successful lumbar surgery 1996 and 1 failed cervical c5-6 fusion) before he was highly recommended to me to help solve my impingment issue from my cervical fusion. After many cervical spine tests, consulting 2 other dr.'s, (who told me nothing was wrong). Dr. Jatana, solved my 3 years of left arm, solid 6-8 pain, by opting to do a posterior cervical operation that resolved the impingement! He is the master at finding the cause, even if the tests don't conclusively give the cause of the pain. Dr. Jatana me my life back! I wish I could say my back pain/surgery journey ended at that time. I needed 1 more cervical surgery 2017... I'm doing fantastic now. My lumbar spine has needed 5 more surgeries. 2009-2024. I do not just go get surgery because I believe it will solve all my pain issues. I have spine surgeries because of instabilities, ruptured disks, and I want to be able to live my life walking,… hiking, swimming, playing with my grandchildren etc. Dr. Jatana, his PA. I had a disc replacement on C6-7 a month ago and my surgery was so much better than similar surgery I had on my C5-6! On 2018 l! I was able to walk day after surgery where with my prior surgery done by another surgeon I couldn’t get up on my own for over a week! Dr Jatana is the best!

I highly recommend Dr. Sanjay Jatana and his office. Unfortunately, I have seen nearly 100 doctors for my specific pain issue and I have a thorough knowledge of the medical process - how long it takes to make appointments, how good the staff is, and how conscientious the doctors are. Dr. Jatana really looked over my extensive medical history so that when he first met me at my first appointment, he didn't repeat questions that I had already answered. He is very conscientious and really pays attention to detail. He presented several options to me and explained each one. I chose to have double artificial disc replacement surgery and it went perfectly well. I had consulted with 3 other specialists in the local area before someone in the medical field recommended Dr. Jatana to me. I was far more impressed with Dr. Jatana than the other 3 surgeons. Also, his office staff was more polite and it was easier to make appointments and see Dr. Jatana. The previous surgeons I had consulted gave me… the runaround and had their Physicians Assistants meet me first. Sometimes, those P.A.s asked me the same questions I had already answered numerous times and it was frustrating. I really appreciate that Dr. Jatana did not waste my time like that.

I had a 10am appointment scheduled with the doctor, but he was late in arriving. I saw his PA, Heather, who is outstanding, so I was not totally disappointed. As this was my 6 week appointment after surgery the appointment was supposed to be with the surgeon.

I came to Dr. Jatana with serious cervical issues at multiple levels. He, and his staff were very patient, and thoroughly explained my options. Surgery went better than I had hoped. I highly recommend Dr. Jatana. I am certain that I made the right decision.

Dr Jatana reviewed all my films and offered solutions to help my neck pain. He explained throughly what my problems were. Others in the past have offered no permanent relief.

Very good communication. Answered all my questions and really seemed to care. Would highly recommend Dr. Jatana.

Dr Sanjay Jatana is very good at what he does I would advise anybody that has back pain go and see him he’s pretty awesome !! And the staff and his assistants are really great at what they do.

Loved the informative previsit with his PA, followed by an equally informative visit with the Doc. Feel I can now make an informed decision about my future back care.
