Dr. Santsaran Patel, MD

Dr. Patel has been the doctor to all my relatives. He is knowledgeable, he takes time with each patient, he cares about his patients whole being. He had been our doctor for 10 years and we wouldn't go anywhere else.

Never get calls back, never get refills. Getting a refill when requested from the pharmacy doesn’t happen. It took me over a month to get my husbands insulin refilled and it only happened because I went to the doctors office and wouldn’t leave without a hand written prescription. It took three months to get the correct test strips for my husbands glucometer. I took the box for the test strips he needed into the office and they still called in the wrong type. Eventually we had to have one of his other doctors prescribe the test strips. Trying to get an appointment by leaving a message never happens. I don’t know if the messages are not checked or if they are ignored, but to get an appointment other than one that was already scheduled you have to go to the office and speak with them face to face. We dealt with all this until Ms. Lintner, a nurse practitioner, retired. Then Dr. Patel told my husband, a type 1 diabetic for almost half a century, that he didn’t need an… endocrinologist. We left.

Don't waste your time or money on this Doctor. I was in a rehab facility and this Doctor was assigned to me. A couple of days in to my 2 week stay at the rehab facility, I received a phone called that my husband had just been picked up by the aid car from our home and taken to the Hospital. We have no other family close by, the closet family member is 1,625 miles away. My husband and I have been married for 48 years. I asked Dr. Patel if I could get an emergency pass to leave and have my home healthcare nurse drive me to the other side of town to the hospital and back, so I could check on my husband and speak to his doctor and find out what happened and what is going on with my husband. This ended up being a big ordeal and Doctor Patel told me no I could not go and check on my husband. Dr. Patel also FIRED me as his patient. Dr. Patel is on HEARTLESS Doctor.

Dr Patel, Ellen Litner and staff are the best around.

Wait time is far, far too long. Spent more than 2 hours waiting for an appointment that was two hours prior. Finally left without seeing the Dr. When you call to make an appointment wait time is also too long...I've been in the office when the receptionist just visits, and visits with the person and doesn't get right to the issues at hand. Also been put on hold so long that I have to finally hang up and if they insist on playing music when you are on hold, then play something that is listening-able. Not a word but a description of how bad the music is. NEVER GO ON A TUES. That is when Dr. Patel voluntarily works with Residents and he helps the resident more than the patient. New Dr. for me. I like Dr. P as a person, but he is too busy now a days to see me.

Most excellent physician. Fully knowledgeable in all aspects of medical diagnoses and treatments. His manner toward patients is both caring and concerned. He listens well and never judges his patients.Highly recommend Dr. Patel.

i have know doc from two sides, i worked with him, the n when i was no longer able to work as a cna i became hi patient. he is a wonderful Dr who will take the time to explain what he wants to do and why it is beneficial to your health. he is the best doctor in sierra vista hands down.

He will call males and females "dear". Watch out, seriously consider someone else.
