Dr. Sapna Rao Palep, MD

The office is pristine and modern. Dr. Palep has a friendly demeanor and good bedside manner, but this is where it ends. I totally agree with some of the other reviewers in regard to the support staff (nurses included). They are some of the rudest individuals I have ever come across in a service environment, let alone a doctor's office. They have a condescending attutide and rarely answer the phone. On one of the updated forms, it was actually mentioned that they would not tolerate rudeness to their staff ... I was mortified. I was charged almost $2000 for laser therapy, with no noted change after the 5th treatment, yet I was encouraged to continue because (miraculously) it was supposed to be cleared by the 6th one.

She cleared up a lifelong problem for me! She answers my emails at the speed of light, and I have sent her tons of emails. She always answers my numerous questions with a ton of patience. She is very unique in this time of healthcare. She treats you as if you are family!

Awesome. I hate reading reviews, because there are crazy people out there. However, reading Dr. Palep's reviews it was easy to read into the truth....and I was right by going to visit her. The first word in this review says enough. Would refer her to anyone I know.

Dr. Palep is amazing!!! she has magic on her hands, everything from the office to the receptionist to the girl who brought me and the granola bars and apple cider are a must to be brought up are simply fantastic! Of course Dr. Palep is the best choice of Spring Street Derm, she is so friendly and is more like a friend than a doctor, she helped my acne finally come to a calm stand after years of me trying to get this fixed, def recommend!!!

While Dr. Palep's office is swanky looking and clean, the nicest thing I have to say about her practice, is that they have a nice couch. Generally speaking, Dr. Palep is personable and friendly, but her choice in staff make me seriously wonder about her professional judgement. On numerous occasions her receptionist, Ruth, has been rude and blatantly obnoxious while answering the phone and in person. The general attitude of the reception staff (Ruth in particular), is that they are doing you a favor by allowing you to make an appointment with the Doctor. While I suspect that this kind of attitude may over step patient rights, I think the lack of respect for patients (PAYING CLIENTS) completely out of line.Speaking to the care provided, Dr. Palep's 3 years of being a "professional" shows. I have visited her more than four times now for the same issue (a suspicious looking mole), and it still remains to be resolved and is actually getting worse every time she "treats" it. I am so… concerned at this point that I am going to get a second opinion because clearly her method is not working. Thus, rude staff combined with only a few years of independent practice experience plus the fact that the Dr. Palep is nearly ALWAYS unavailable, leads me to suggest avoiding this practice all together. It's unfair for this practice to even be offering medical services when the staff make it virtually impossible to see the doctor and make the experience unpleasant.

Very pleased with the visit here. I was very concerned about what I thought might be a melanoma (thankfully turned out it wasn't) so they gave me an appointment the next day. The office is very nice and Dr. Palep clearly is an expert in her field.

This Doctor's chamber is by far the best place to get an acne extraction.Cant comment about the other procedures performed by her.But she sure has a good hand at acne surgery.Thank god for finding a decent place.

Gave me unnecessarily strong medication which aggrevated my condition.I had light acne when I first consulted her..2 small red pimples.Now I have more active acne and hyper pigmentation.

This office is outstanding. All personnel smile, very nice office setting and doctors credentials and manners are wonderful.

Absolutely wonderful and flexible to your needs. I came into the office with an emergency skin reaction to a cream I had used the night before. I had a huge presentation to give 2 days after and was concerned with how I would look when I returned to work. As a working young woman, appearance at the office is fairly important to me and while I understand that some creams take time to take effect and should not be applied with make-up I was desperate for a speedy recovery. Dr. Palep put me on a stronger cream given my circumstances which can later be switched to a more mild cream after my presentation. I also felt more at ease knowing I would be able to apply make-up to at least cover up for my big presentation. I've been to some old school dermatologists who were completely stubborn in their treatment regimens, and said I absolutely could not wear make up or be put on a different cream to accommodate for my personal reasons. I'm not an extremely superficial person, and understand that a… mild cream without make-up would be the optimal course of treatment under normal circumstances. But as a female, esp if there were a special occasion coming up, I think most of us would probably do anything to get our face fixed asap, even if its not the best way. I'm glad that Dr. Palep gave me that option, and let me make my own choice.
