I went to Dr. Brooks for a skin check several weeks ago. The check was the most thorough check I've ever had at a dermatologists office. She was courteous, professional and personable. She performed a biopsy on me, which turned out to be a minor type of skin cancer, but it had been definitely missed by other dermatologists in the past. I will definitely be going back.

Went to Dr. Brooks for an annual skin exam. This was my first visit to Dr. Brooks, but I have been getting examined for the past 20 yrs as I have MANY moles, spots and freckles and I do spend a lot of time in the sun. To date, I have had a dozen, or more, moles removed and tested and fortunately all have been benign. Therefore, I am quite familiar and comfortable with the requirements of this exam. When Dr. Brooks entered the room she introduced herself and asked why I was there. She asked if I had any particular concerns. She asked when I last had an exam (see summary above). She took out her magnifying glass/flashlight and examined my face. She ran her pen through my hair a couple of times which felt like she was writing on me. She then opened my gown and visually scanned my torso and thighs for (at best) 10 seconds. She closed my gown and checked my lower legs and feet. She moved to the other side of the room to write down who knows what. As she was writing she asked… me if I also had a similar mix of moles and spots in my genital area. At that point, I thought to myself "what kind of Dr. is this? A few seconds ago she was looking at my genitals (or was supposed to be) why is she asking me this?" If she had a concern, or simply needed to double check something, then check it. I responded yes. Anyway, she finished writing her notes. She told me right away that all of my moles, spots and freckles were benign and that based on my skin tone the chances of melonoma were slim. She asked me if I had any questions. Since I said no, she said thanks for coming in and left the room. I swear it took me longer to write this review than the exam she performed.

Doctor was very patient, listened and explained possible cause and treatment, went there for hair loss, I had given blood sample and awaiting results. I would recommend Dr Sara. Will update accuracy of diagnosis when i start my treatment
