Dr. Sara Louise Hartsaw, MD

I worked as a paramedic for many years in the ER and ambulance services for CCMH. Dr. Hartsaw is superb. Her skill and knowledge are excellent and she is a caring provider with excellent bedside manner. Without reservation, I recommend her in your time of need.

Continued... I was so unbelievably disgusted by this entire situation...How I was spoken to and treated is NOT okay. I firmly believe Dr Hartsaw and her office staff needs to be held accountable for their actions. So, I thought I’d give a family friend a call, who happens to be an attorney here in town. I explained everything to him and he advised me to contact the Wyoming Board Of Medicine immediately, which I did! As I spoke to them they couldn’t believe the amount of violations that were made and they certainly weren’t impressed with Diane and what I had recored. They informed me of several different protocols a doctor must following...Such as, specific steps a doctor must take when refusing and or terminating services to any patient they’ve provided ANY kind of service to. Remember, they gave me a refund, which the Board could consider an admission of guilt on their part. There are also, specific steps a doctor/doctors office must take when quoting a price and then changing… that price. Several violations were made and I fully intend to continue to work with the Wyoming Board Of Medicine to take the proper actions in holding Dr Sara Hartsaw and her office accountable. During all of this, I also spoke to a friend who saw Dr Hartsaw a couple years ago. She had cysts removed from her ovaries. After surgery there were several complications and she tired multiple times to get in contact with Dr Hartsaw. Dr Hartsaw refused to speak to her and refused to see her again. In my opinion, this type of person has no business practicing medicine. If anything like this has or does happen to you, (at this office or any other) I encourage to immediately call the Wyoming Board Of Medicine and file a formal complaint. In addition, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere for a surgeon. I understand there aren’t a lot of choices here in Gillette, but that doesn’t give Dr Hartsaw or her office staff the right to treat ANYONE poorly!! Lastly, I’d like to acknowledge Starla for being kind, professional and very helpful each and every time I called.

My sister got her gallbladder removed by her, did great on the removal as far as I could tell but the recover part horrible. Regular old bandaids over her incisions. One of which was cut bigger to get her gallbladder out. Not even 24 hours and were in the ER because it's leaking horribly and no pain meds but mortin. Come on, I understand military ways but this is reality. Take better care of your patients.

I know Dr. Hartsa to be a passionate, thoro and caring surgeon. She has helped one of our kids with an issue and she was simply incredible. I would recommend Dr. Hartsaw to anyone needing general surgery services! A+++++++++++
