Dr. Sara A. Lander, MD

I have been going to Sara Lander for years. I do feel she keeps me healthy. She listens carefully and is up to date on current treatments. I have recommended her to friends. I know my health is in good hands with Dr. Lander.

The way this office is managed Is no longer acceptable to me. I was made to come in for a refill on a prescription that I’ve been taking for years at the height of the coronavirus precautionary period. I called last week for a refill and spoke to Diane - She could have told me then that I needed to come in. Instead, no prescription was called in and no communication was provided. I have been on this medication for almost 4 years and Dr Lander said I haven’t been in the office for 2 1/2 years, so why now would I be told to come in to the office for a refill? There is no consistency or process. The desk staff have always been short on the phone and in person. But with Dr Landers defensiveness, rudeness, and accusatory tone, that is more than I’m willing to accept. I’ll have to start looking somewhere else for a primary care physician.

Put up with the unfriendly staff and rude Dr Lander for longer than I should have. Best thing I did was finally switch to SSM. The staff are actually friendly, imagine that?! If I had to work for Dr Lander I would probably be cranky too. She is so rude. How is she still in practice? Very bad for St Luke’s reputation!

This "professional Doctors office" is nothing more than rude, dis-organized, miserable people waiting to go home. Please don't waste your time or money here. This place is right up there with used car salesman/lots.

Most docs have a 4-5 rating. There is a VERY good reason Dr. Lander is in the 3 range! 2 words-incompetent and rude. Don't take my word for it, make an appointment, see for yourself, I''ll bet that your first visit will be your last!

Dr.Lander is not the physician you want if you are looking for friendly, concerned or engaged care. She is rude to a point of being combative. My second and last visit to her office included an attemp to intimidate me (that didn't work out so well for her). After all the b/s, she still didn't address my concerns. There are 100+ Docs at St. Lukes, you can do MUCH better than this "doctor".

I have been a patient for over 10 years and if I saw her today in the halls or out in the community, I doubt if she would recognize me and speak. I believe she practices with an adequate level of knowledge, however typically is in a hurry and keeps conversation to a minimum and very business. I believe she has jumped to conclusions in the past because she failed to really listen and respond with questions. Her previous nurse practitioner and receptionist were very friendly, warm and caring, however even the tone on the phone currently is, "I am in a hurry.. make it quick." I guess it is a sign of the time that you are more likely to see the nurse than the doctor and more likely to wait months for an appointment.

I am a new patient and have had 3 appointments thus far. Dr. Lander is caring and proficient. I was impressed with the organizational skills and attitude of the office and staff. In-addition, the staff is extremely attentive to your needs. I commend Dr. Lander in her selection of staff. I can't write enough positive comments about Katie and Kay whom are Dr. Lander's practitioner and assistant, other than they represent Dr. Lander in the best of ways. I would highly recommend this office to all my friends.

Dr. Lander is a breath of fresh air from my previous Doctor. She listens to me, take my concerns very seriously and is proactive in my care. I am very happy she is my Doctor.
