Dr. Sara Rizk, MD

I had the misfortune of having to speak with Dr. Rizk when I was connected to her after I asked the answering service to page an on-call doctor. I have been in severe pain for days and have been spotting despite the fact that I don’t have a uterus. I have been taking my nerve pain medication as directed despite some nasty side effects which I made know to my doctor but heard nothing in response so I kept taking the medication without relief. Pain keeps me up at night and i’ve been miserable and patiently waiting for my doctor to return my phone calls but didn’t hear back so I called the office to see if an on doc would be able to help give me a different non-narcotic medication to try or tell me to just go to the ER. While Rizk was initially friendly, she changed her tune when I expressed a reluctance to take high doses of ibuprofen in conjunction with Tylenol. I was told by 2 specialists that I should avoid ibuprofen. When I told her this she told me that “must not want to feel… better.” Totally unprofessional and uncalled for especially after I contacted my Ob/gyn directly 4 times in one week without a response and I followed every single piece of advice my doctor told me including physical therapy. I wasn’t looking for narcotics. I simply wanted report that the drug I was prescribed by my doctor wasn’t working and needed to know what I should do next since I am in a lot of discomfort and unable to sleep or rest comfortably. I needed someone interested and invested in my care. I was just a thorn in Rizk’s side and she wanted to be rid of me quickly. She didn’t really listen to my concerns. She talked over me and when I challenged her plan (if you would call mentioning what 2 other doctors said not to do as a challenge) she lost interest and rushed me off the phone. Maybe you’ll be luckier than I was but this interaction has prompted me to go elsewhere for treatment in hopes that I will be treated like a person not a problem and hopefully find a provider that takes patient concerns seriously and addresses them promptly. Anything less is absolutely unacceptable.

Dr. Rizk is a wonderful doctor. I detest 90% of the doctors i've had to interact with but right after the first interaction I was at ease and comfortable with her.

This is the first time I've actually liked a doctor enough to recommend them. Dr. Rizk was fantastic. She was so friendly, professional, and easy to talk to--it was the least awkward OBGYN visit of my life. She spent almost an hour with me discussing options, making sure I had all the information I needed, performing an exam, and implementing the option I chose. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Dr. Rizk has excellent bedside manner. During my visit she was very informative and made me very comfortable. I will be happy to continue my prenatal care with her.

See is the most caring doctor I have seen after my surgery. My cancer was caught very early. My friend suggested I see a doctor and be tested. After being tested, the cancer was found. She did not do my surgery, but was involved in my post check up. It was the most sensitive experience I had. I hope everyone who needs a OB-GYN doctor finds her.
