Dr. Sarah Sedgwick Auchincloss, MD

She is very unreasonable and on occasion unethical about fees. She charges if you cancel with less than one week's notice (most allow 24 hours notice) AND if you simply change the appointment from the schedule time to another open time she has available, she charges you for TWO appointments if you do that with less than a week's notice. She also once **retroactively** raised the fee on me because she felt, based on my comments I'd made in therapy, that "you can afford more." That was the dealbreaker for me!

I've seen Dr. Auchincloss for years. She is super smart, incredibly compassionate and incredibly caring and helpful.

Absolutely outstanding -- professional, caring, and competent.

She tries to see how much money she can squeeze out of people. She wastes time and I had to question her calculation of time and billing until we were able to work something out. I have NEVER tred to or had to do that with any other doctor, but I found her to be so off the mark that I had to speak up. I resented her writing down my address at our first meeting and taking up much of the session with that kind of factual background that I had volunteered to do beforehand or on my own. I found her to be cold and uncaring. I would NEVER send a grieving person to her. Beware.
