Dr. Sarah York Boostrom, MD

Due to increased bleeding showing up in my bowl movements, my Dr. referred me to Dr. Sarah Boostrom to have an examination and colonoscopy. Although we met at her office, there was no exam-just a short talk and a scheduled colonoscopy. Prior to the procedure, Dr. Boostrom came to introduce herself to me, but I reminded her that we had already met. There was no apology — just a blank stare as she walked away. This was the beginning of my feeling like a “number” rather than a patient. Following the procedure, I never saw Dr. Boostrom, and have still had no follow-up call or appointment. It took two weeks of calling her office just to find out out what happened. They scraped a couple polyps and the biopsy’s were negative, but there was no mention of what May have been causing the bleeding. Call after call went unanswered from me and my son until her staff said that I’d need to scheduled another appointment, but that Dr. Boostrom was too busy and I’d have to meet with another person. Since… the colonoscopy, the bleeding has gotten worse and I simply don’t trust Dr. Boostrom’s office to fully examine me for the reason I went to her. Plus, my co-pay’s are so high that I have to choose the “most effective and caring” doctor I can find. Someone who will help me find out why I am bleeding.. Why it’s getting worse.. How they can help me.. And someone who remembers me as the person they just met and needs help (and an office staff that is considerate about returning calls). It’s not just me who is sick and worried, but my son, siblings, friends and more… I hope you and your office take this seriously, and your future patient’s do as well. Maria

Dr. Boostrom and her staff are wonderful. The providers are very professional and her staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone.

Was given a payment plan in writing by the PA, and Becky Phillips. ALL of us agreed to it! They don’t want to adhere to what they put in writing. The actual doctor is nice, it her staff will lie to you even if you have emails to back it up. I’ll gladly lost those emails here.

Dr. Boostrom is a wonderful doctor, I had a colonoscopy and she found a huge polyp. Thank goodness she found it and she removed It! Recovery time with the staff was wonderful!!! I will be back!

I waited for 45 minutes in the waiting room, did not give me a diagnosis, only a lousy cream.

Dr.Boostrom& her assistant, Christine, are excellent in every way. I was the Sr.Coordinator of the Surgical Residency program in one of the best rated hospitals in America. My immediate boss was Chairman of the Surgery Dept. There was no room for mistakes but if that happened it came across our desks to be dealt with and learn from. Consequently, when I retired and moved to Dallas I was very careful picking my doctors. My colon rectal surgery went perfect. I felt fine w/i hours and have had no complications. I am so grateful to have chosen my surgeon wisely and so thankful for this surgeon.
