Dr. Sarah Frances Davis, MD

First of all, I would like to say that i have NEVER left a review on anything before, but I felt like I needed to share my experience! I started seeing Dr. Davis in Spring of 2014 when I was placed on birth control. I saw her for a few years for just a routine yearly check up. I stopped birth control in 2017 in hopes to start trying to have a baby. Ive never really had any major issues other Than I have NEVER had a regular cycle since starting when I was 11. I told her that my husband and I wanted to start preparing to have a baby. I told her how I had never had a regular cycle. She then told me to lose 15 pounds. I thought it was a little strange considering this had been an issue my entire life and I did not have a weight problem. But I did! I lost 15 pounds and nothing changed. I went back to see her and told her nothing had changed.. so she said she was going to start me on 2000mg of metformin. (Which is for patients with insulin resistance). She never did any bloodwork to make… sure that that was the correct plan for me or to see if I was even insulin resistant. All she said was that it would jump start a cycle and get my body regulated. I thought it was a little strange, but I respected her decision. Also, she asked me every time I came in if I had hair growing on my face.(which is a sign of PCOS) everytime I asked what she thought was wrong or if she thought I had pcos she always ignored the questions and went straight into telling me to eat fruits and veggies and exercise. (Which I had already been doing for YEARS even before trying to conceive). I started taking one a day and gradually made it up to 3 per day (which was 1500mg). It made me feel terrible. I took it for 3 months and in those 3 months I did NOT have a single period!!!! Which was even more irregular than I was before! I went back to see her, told her what was going on and she told me to try to up it to the full 2000mg. I felt defeated. Right before I left the room she turned back around and said she wanted bloodwork to make sure that my liver was responding to the medicine. At this point I knew I was going to stop taking the medicine and switch doctors but I still choose to have the bloodwork done, just to make she everything was ok with my liver. Welllll Everything was NOT ok! I got a call from her nurse the next day and she said to IMMEDIATELY STOP TAKING THE MEDICINE. My liver enzymes were dangerously high and they wanted to see me Back in a month to confirm that my liver enzymes had gone down. She told me that I did not need to make an appointment bc it was sooo important. I never went back to have the bloodwork redone and I have not received a call to see how I’m doing nor to find out why I didn’t show up! I have since switched doctors and she was pretty blown away at the fact that no bloodwork was done before hand! I do not have pcos and I am not insulin resistant. It is a slight hormonal issue that can be resolved easily!

I was having a partial hysterectomy when she sliced my bladder. After a few weeks I told he I was having pain when I had to urinate. She sent me to a urologist without the info that she had sliced my bladder wide open. The urologist didn't know why I was in so much pain. Her nurse called me a few weeks later and let me know why I was hurting so badly, she sliced me open. I found out she had stapled me back together. I no longer hurt and the only thing I have to let me know I was cut open are the staples. I tried to call her but she would not return my calls. What a nasty thing she did. Don't trust her she would rather not tell the truth!!!! Don't ever trust this "Doctor". If that is what u could call her.
