Dr. Sarah Turrentine Hodgson, PhD

I have 2 sons who were both diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder through full neuro-psych evaluations at a young age. Upon entering kindergarten, they were both seen through their school by Dr Hodgson for evaluations for PPT services. Without doing full neuro-psych evaluations, Dr Hodgson determined they were both cured of ASD and the school system put them on lesser amounts of PPT services. Because of the way special education personal speak, I did not fully understand this situation until many years later. When my sons' doctor recommended retesting, I had both my sons reevaluated by another provider who completed full neuro-psych evaluations on both sons. Surprisingly, they both still have ASD, level 2. I guess that Dr Hodgson did not find the miracle cure for Autism after all. I would strongly suggest steering clear of this clinician. She diagnosed based on what the school wanted and without fully evaluating her patients.

She had a great rapport with our child and with us, and was helpful in determining what the issues were, but she could be scatterbrained and forgetful, and getting her to respond to phone calls and text messages was near impossible. I honestly don't understand how anyone is capable of sustaining a business by behaving this way. I cannot recommend her simply because, logistically, she was so difficult to work with.
