Dr. Sarah Elizabeth Mcclanahan

This woman oversaw my mother's (non-violent 81-year old with dementia) involuntary commitment to the St. Francis geriatric psychiatric unit after I had taken her to the ER for suspected heart trouble. Consistent with other reviews, she refused to communicate with me to any extent about my mother's condition and treatment over the course of two harrowing weeks. In order to justify my mother's prolonged institutionalization she filed a frivolous APS case (dismissed within a couple of weeks) presumably in order to squeeze a few more days' worth of fees out of Medicare. My mother was plied with (black label drug, name withheld) without consulting me until she lost consciousness after one week and had to be transferred to PCU; when she was returned to the psych unit she could no longer walk and has not regained the ability since. Once my mother was wheel-chair bound, and under threat of legal action, McClanahan proclaimed my mother "minimally improved" but "safe and ready for… discharge". As a nice little bonus she refused to release my mother to me and so I had to pay $13,000 for a month's stay at a nursing facility to get my mother out of this death camp.

MALPRACTICE. This ignorant cuss refused to contact me at ALL when I asked for guidance on going off of benzos at Laureate. She just stopped filling and left it up to me. I did not have enough to taper safely and ended up having SEVERE SEIZURES and DEMENTIA from going off too fast. REFUSED contact. NOT A DOCTOR. you?ll be hearing from me mclanahan

She abruptly stops medication with no regard on how to safely taper patients off psychiatric medication.
