Meet Sarah O’Connell, MSW - TherapistSarah O'Connell prioritizes an authentic space for her clients to experience self-exploration and healing. She adopts a trauma-informed, person-centered posture in her work with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. Sarah desires that all individuals who walk into her office feel seen and heard as their genuine selves. She feels honored to sit with individuals and hold space for their processing, development, and healing. Sarah has years of experience working with children and teens in many different settings. She implements research in her practice to ensure the best approaches are being utilized for each individual, family, and group. Sarah sees clients who are healing from trauma, sexual abuse/assault, spiritual and religious trauma, perinatal trauma/depression, among many other areas. She pulls from several different theories and techniques, including Somatic Experiencing, attachment theory, existential psychology, and DBT. She also …incorporates play therapy and family therapy. Sarah is finishing her master’s degree in Social Work through Texas State University. She is currently working on research surrounding the topic of environmental justice, human ethics, and wilderness therapy. She lives in the Wood River Valley with her husband Kyle and two doggos Remi and Margo.
