Sarah Perveze, MD

Dr. Sarah Perveze is a board-certified family-medicine physician with a special interest in preventive medicine.

"I am a huge fan of prevention," she said. "I believe prevention starts from an early age and encompasses each and every stage of life."

Inspiration to get into medical care came from her father, who is also a physician. Dr. Perveze grew up watching her father as he compassionately and empathetically cared for his patients, and she saw the gratitude his patients had for him in return. These exchanges motivated her to follow in her father's footsteps and become a physician.

She believes in patient-centered care and focuses on the physical, mental and social aspects of a person's life.

"I like to come up with a plan, which involves listening, informing and involving patients along with their families in their care," she said.

Dr. Perveze grew up in Pakistan and went to medical school at Fatima Jinnah Medical University there. She completed her family medicine residency at …Augusta University in Georgia.

She loves the unique beauty, sunsets and nature Tucson has to offer. When she is not working, Dr. Perveze enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband, travelling and using social media to spread awareness around living a healthy lifestyle.
