Dr. Sarah J. Sabin, MD

Not a professional. I took my sister n law who is developmentally handicapped for her regular check up. My sister n law has lived with us for the past ten years since her mom passed. Dr. Sabin passive aggressively scolded me for not having brought her in sooner. We missed making appointments for several years due to covid. I, myself have missed making appointments and trying to catch up. It seems like the older you get, the more appointments you need to make. Dr. Sabin didn’t really address any of my questions and seemed short with me. I’m not going to take my sister n law back to her, but to my OB-GYN.

Did not answer my questions or provide guidance during my pregnancy and miscarriage. Did not answer my questions and did not give me all of my options to deal with my miscarriage. Performed tests I did not consent to and was not made aware of totaling over $500 that I am now responsible for. I will not be going back to her.

We called her at 20 weeks with pain in side, totally ignored the eclampsia, her office blamed me for not having proper insurance ready, guess what some pregnancies arent planned.

She didnt recognize my eclampsia symptoms at 21 weeks, We called at at 20 weeks with side pain she said to take a nap and lay down, which did not end well. Delivered our first child fine.

Dr. Sabin acted dismissive to my questions and could not wait to get me out of the office.

I was 14 when I had my son.. When I went into labor the doctor who was supposed to deliver me wasn't available so Sabin stepped in. She gave my my epidural way to early and it wore off.. After giving birth I needed stitches. Without numbing me she started stitching. I was already in a lot of pain and she was just adding to the pain at that point. After having my baby I moved rooms and shortly after turned pale white and my lips were a light green color.. Long story short I had a 32cm hematoma in my left labia a abscess under my lung and a blood clot in my back.. They gave me a blood transfusion and it was cold so my body rejected it. I was transferred to us after a few days.. They told me all the complications I had was because if how the nurse delivered me. She never once came back to check on me or my baby.. Other doctors that didn't deliver me but i had exams done by such as Dr gibbler and Dr ray (not sure if I'm spelling their names right) came to check on me multiple times..… Dr Sabin even told my parents My complications were punishment for having a baby so young. I will never recommend her to anyone.

I am not sure I would recommend this doctor to friends. I am new to the area and needed a doctor that "specializes" in peri-menopause issues and she was recommended to me by my insurance provider. The office staff in West Chester are wonderful! Dr. Sabin wasn't what I was expecting from a woman with her "credentials" she was the fastest annual exam I have ever had (positive for most of us - but not if you have concerns). I have multiple fibroids and shockingly she didn't mention one (?) - it was a matter of seconds and she said "everything seems fine"â?¦Also when I mentioned many of my symptoms of concern, she replied they were most likely "side effects of my medication" - which is legitimate for some, but not all combined. I asked for a blood draw - she didn't suggest it (?), and she was clear to tell me that "if the tests come back with any issues, you'll have to see your primary doctor because I don't deal with that stuff"â?¦I gathered that she is NOT a specialist in menopausal… issues after this appointment. I believe if you are not pregnant, or not of an age to even get pregnant, she would rather not have you as a patient.

Here is the thing. I went to this doctor for a while and reported two issues. The first issue is painful mensus and a thickness that I felt on the bottom of my breast. I was prescribed birth control that helped alleviate but not resolve my issue. The when I reported the breast problem, "I drink too much caffeine." I made another annual appointment a year later and got a different doctor in the practice who did take an extra step by suggesting that I have a diagnostic mammogram. I was quickly diagnosed with breast cancer...I guess I have consumed too much caffeine... I did complain about the painful periods but I was told that it is because I was off the birth control (due to my cancer diagnosis). After the cancer this past year and month to month painful periods, I decided to go to a new doctor. Within minutes of explaining what has happened and what is happening, the doctor has scheduled an ultrasound to see if the cause can be detected. How HARD is that? No, I drink to… much caffeine...what a joke...
