Dr. Sarah Mead Sciascia, MD

Dr. Sarah Sciascia has been my doctor for several years now. I have to say that she truly showed how amazing and caring she is when it really counted. I went through a tough time last year and she was very prompt, caring and attentive. She was on top of it very quickly, guiding and providing me with excellent specialists. The best thing was how very prompt her responses to my questions/emails were. She made me feel like I was not alone and she was with me every step of the way. She genuinely cared and it showed. Great Doctor for sure!

Dr. Sciascia's practice is extremely unprofessional and deserves lower than a one star rating. Her nurses are completely behind the times on education and basic vital sign taking. Our first experience resulted in our son receiving two shots of the same vaccine that could have caused some serious harm. The nurse had to run after us in the parking lot to warn us. Thankfully nothing happened. Every time we go, there's always a mess up- misuse of equipment, inability to properly use their internal patient documentation, scheduling issues and the shot incident to name a few. Dr. Sciascia has even asked us to share our son's health information with her neighbors! Never have I seen as many bad reviews on a doctor nor care to personally write a review, good or bad, on a doctor or any business. Do yourself and loved ones a favor and stay far away from Dr. Sciascia.

Very judgemental and overall the worst dr I have ever had in my life. I saw her for a physical which I addressed some issues. After receiving the results of a test and bringing up the concern she dismissed me and said to wait until next year. Also tries to bully you if you don’t want a flu shot or unnecessary pneumonia shot. I have never felt so disregarded in my life. Finding a new doctor who actually cares ASAP. Work on your bedside manner and be more human!

Frightening as opposed to Poor....unprepared, cold, ignorant, dismissive and quite frankly this woman should be watering plants instead of being allowed to practice medicine. No I would never recommend her to anyone....not even an animal period

I cringe at the thought of having to go back to her. She is cold, dismissive, and treats you like a 5 yr old. I’m a middle aged adult and I’ve nevef felt so unwanted in a Drs office. Her people skills and bedside manor are both very poor. I don’t recommend and plan on switching Drs

I've been seeing Dr. Sciascia for years and I'm very happy with her care. I especially appreciate her desire to stay up on the latest medical data. I'm always impressed by her efficiency as well. I would definitely recommend her to friends & family.

Dr. Sciascia is a wonderful doctor - smart, direct, and most professional. I'm relatively new to the practice - 2 years. Every visit has far exceeded my expectations.

I've brought my Mom to a couple of her visits to Dr. Sciascia & was surprised to see some of the comments on this board. Dr. Sciascia listened to everything my Mom had to say & responded clearly. She was very prepared for appointments & had consulted with my Mom's other doctors to make the appt time valuable. My Mom had told her of a problem that she experienced during her stay at So. Shore Hospital & the doctor told her that she spoke about it at a meeting there ~ so to prevent the same wrong. The office is plesant, but as with most, check your own records before you go. Human mistakes happen & we all need to participate in our own health care.

I am 63 years old. I have had a good experience with Dr. Sciascia. Unlike some other reviewers here, I find her to be a bright, caring physician. She and her staff have always been helpful, courteous, and respectful. She has always taken the time to get it right and has been good about follow-ups. The only thing I didn't rate 4 stars was ease of appointment, but that's the case where ever you go.

I have gotten several condescending comments and she is very dismissive. She focuses on what she wants covered and appears irritated when I gave information regarding my recent medical problems/unexpected surgery during my physical.
