Dr. Sarita Gopal, MD

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Sarita Gopal. I wanted to get an IUD placed, and within two minutes of being in the exam room she had told me that it would "fry my tubes" and I would never have children if I contracted an STD (a fact that many studies have shown is untrue - see recent studies by the NIH) and that I would "pass out from the pain" unless I got the Kylena instead of the Mirena. This concerned me, because if all of her young patients are passing out when she inserts Mirenas she is clearly doing something wrong. She also asked if I was only getting an IUD because my friends are getting them, which was extremely disrespectful. After all of her threats and misinformed claims, I told her I still wanted a Mirena, and she said I was "so full of sh*t". I had to leave the appointment because I no longer trusted her to listen to me and provide me adequate care. I am completely disgusted. DO NOT come here if she is the only person available!! This was completely unacceptable.

I have been with Dr. Gopal and this team for more than 20 years. Well organized front office and appointments scheduling experience. Great doc and good front office team too! Dr. Gopal takes the time to listen and never rushed. No matter how many patients she has, she will remember each patient and their backgrounds and family. Makes an otherwise anxious visit very comfortable and relaxed. Very sad she will be retiring next year! Thank you Dr. Gopal! We will miss you!

Dr. Gopal is the most amazing doctor and human I have ever encountered. She listens, cares and gives great medical care and advise!

I really like Dr. Gopal. The drawback is you have to wait for her; however, that's also a strong positive. When she comes in, you have her full attention. She's got a great sense of humor and is a caring person. Just have something to read or do while you wait!

I've never had another doctor who knows me so well and whom I look forward to seeing, even for stressful medical issues. She explains all the treatment options clearly and always takes my concerns seriously. I know that she'll recommend what is best for me, and I trust her knowledge and experience. Dr Gopal is simply the best. You have to trust her judgement completely. She has many minimally invasive tricks that can fix your gynae issues. She is an expert and knows what she is doing even if it will feel like going against conventional wisdom. She is very smart and knowledgeable.

Dr. Gopal is hands down the best OBGYN I’ve ever seen. Warm, brilliant, kind, and proactive about my care. She both took charge and immediately made me feel safe when I was nervous about getting a procedure done. She moves with the maturity, wisdom, and ease of someone who’s spent a lifetime doing this work — but with the lightness and joy of your best friend. I wish she could be my doctor for everything!
