Dr. Saritha Gorantla, MD

Dr Garantla takes the time to understand the underlying complaints, and she is very science and data-based. I find her to be kind, intelligent, and clear and I've always felt listened to. I do think she's very focused on the mechanical functioning of the gastro system and does not see herself as a doctor who treats emotional or mental stresses that might cause gastric distress. She's empathetic but not going to get involved with the psychiatric side of gut pain. She's more the "let's keep you from getting cancer" kind of doctor. I like her.

Dr. Gorantla doesn't listen. When she's told that something is wrong it's like she ignores everything you say. I've been in pain for so long because of my disease and she hasn't done anything about it. It took several trips to the hospital to start being taken somewhat seriously.

She is always very nice, and smiling. She seems very knowledgeable and seems to know her stuff. I had to have her fill out some paperwork for my job for a short-term disability claim, and she had it filled out and ready by the next day!
