I can’t begin to say how insensitive Dr Kumar is. She has absolutely no personality or bedside manner and gives absolutely no explanation of procedures while giving an extremely painful procedure. Don’t go to this woman. She has no regard for patients, just wants to get the job done asap.

Very rough and insensitive. Have never had a doctor tell me to not give any information until asked. After her required process of taking information, she says I should go for a walk and enjoy the day. Wow, I'm in here for pain because I can't stand for more than 15 minutes. Inconsiderate and unaware! Thank goodness I was seen by another Scripps Dr. and I begged for her to send me to anyone else besides this lady.

Her professionalism and experience has been a God send to me. I have had many pain Doctors in my life, due to many back surgeries and Dr Kumar is by far the most conscientious and compassionate Dr of them all. Communication is always key and I feel very fortunate that she listens and truly cares about me as her patient.

This is the last person in the universe I would recommend for epidural injections related to back pain. Very rude and dismissive. Also had a horrible experience when trying to speak with her medical assistant named Anthony. Hoping this will save you a trip to that horrible office !!!!

I saw Dr. Kumar for 4 years for several conditions. I put my trust and faith into her only to find out it was severely misplaced. When my carpal tunnel was so severe that I spent nights crying, her response was to keep doing the same treatment - Cha-ching a pay check. I had to actually ask her twice and then bring in my husband for support to push her to send me to a surgeon. With my back - I had a new MRI's taken because the epidural blocks were not helping anymore-and the pain was increasing, her comment was "oh everything looks the same". I went to another doctor-that is in the same field as her and after looking at my MRI he said that my condition was severe and would require surgery which is why the epidurals were not working. She just keeps you broken and in pain to keep treating you and making money-She doesn't care if her methods are no longer enough and its time to move you to another doctor. Its all about money, not your well being. Bedside manner of a cold fish. One time… she did a ridiculous massage type procedure that cost me an additional $80 on top of my co-pay. It did nothing for me in my patient summary she wrote "patient said procedure gave some relief - WHAT I called her on it and said I never said that please remove it! Partially my fault for becoming complacent. Painful lesson learned. Don't wait - If you think your getting worse don't wait for her to recommend another doctor-She wont do it because she wont want to lose the income.

I had a nerve conductivity test with Dr. Kumar, it was among the most traumatizing experiences... very similar to hard core torture... the staff were nice and explained that it might be painful, but the pain from electrical jolts, when my whole body was jumping with most of the stimuli she delivered, was awful... I got minimal warnings and saw very little concern, I asked for less intensity and apparently it wasn't possible, which I don't believe in this day and age. then when she inserted a needle into my muscle tissue, no warning was given on how painful it would be and especially when she manipulated that needle inside my muscle which she required me to engage, that was excruciatingly painful... with very little concern about how I felt she said the test was over without giving me any info on how I might feel afterwards. I had numbness, pain and burning sensations... which were very concerning to me and I wasn't even sure if it was a normal, expected reaction.

Dr. Kumar is the sweetest, understanding doctor I have. There is no way you can not like her. I have had her for 4yrs, we have gone thru a lot of problems with pain and we have found the perfective solutions to help me live my life the best way I can with pain. She helps you understand how to live with pain. Also if you want with some relief. Robin Holzer

I have been seeing Dr Kumar for weakness in my arms. She performed a needle EMG. She did this test in a way that made me as comfortable as possible. She also thoroughly explained what could possibly causing the problem and how to move forward to find a solution. Dr. Kumar is one of the best doctors I have been to in 73 years. She called me immediately with lab results and regasrding other issues. I highly recommend her to anyone with health issues in her area of expertise.

Dr. Kumar is agreat medical provider. i would recommend her to all of my family and friends

I'm surprised to see the negative reviews. My experience was that she was very helpful and answered all my questions. Did not feel hurried or rushed. Seems like a sweet person, not an abrasive personality at all. The nature of her work creates some pain unfortunately, so I can see that could cause people distress. But she was quick about it and the effects wear off immediately. Getting a root canal at the dentist is far worse!!
