Drove 4 hrs.each way to see him, each time he was mechanical and patronizing. In addition to that he was always very behind schedule so i always felt rushed in and out. He did not answer most of my questions and his Receptionist was always short and rude over the phone. I went back to my Internist for management of my Hashimoto's.

I was able to get to see Dr Amir without having being diagnosed with a thyroid issue. That is why I gave a high rating for the ease of appointment. The front desk is not very accommodating and will close the window quickly if you do not jump in with any questions. You do wait a long time for the Dr, even after they take you to the back. As for Dr. Amir himself, he is rude, condescending and dismissive. After explaining all my symptoms he suggested for extreme fatigue I 'watch what you put in your mouth and go for a walk'. Although my bloodwork came back as normal blood sugars he placed me an a medicine for type 2 diabetes, stating it would help me with energy and lose weight. When I returned for the follow up giving the side effects of the medication (not being able to eat) but weighing more, he accused me of 'not watching what you put in your mouth'. I brought my husband to that visit and Dr Amir only listened when my husband contradicted him regarding my symptoms.… BTW Dr Amir.. I DO have a thyroid issue with conversion. So quit blaming your patients for problems they cannot control.

Well worth the wait (in the waiting room). Dr. Aamir and his staff are very nice. They seem to genuinely care about their patients and spend as much time with you as needed. They explained things to me and even advised me regarding some other health issues. Highly recommend!

I like this fella. He tells it like it is. Front staff was pleasant enough but no front office as nice as people were 20 years ago. Waiting room could be bigger. Follow his directions and you will be OK .

I struggled with thyroid issues diagnosed by my primary care physician for years and when I began having more issues that my primary care physician could not explain I was referred to an endo. I located Dr. Aamir and he has been nothing but fantastic!! Turns out I have Hashi's....he has monitored and treated me as if I was his only patient!! I love him and his staff as they are just as attentive!!!

Best Endocrinologist in GWINNETT County. Love him and the staff.
