Dr. Metlis should not be a Dr. He refused to take implants out of my chest after reconstruction in 2006 in Florida. I had bone and joint pain all over my body within 3 months of getting them. My Oncologist kept telling me to get them out! I ended up at 10 months with Thyroid Cancer and a recurrence of Thyroid Cancer about 6 months later. My thyroid was telling me to get them out and then it turned on itself. I had a full Thyroidectomy the first time and 28 lymph nodes removed the second time. I’m very lucky to be alive. He said “pain is not a side effect of implants.” Read all the literature. Pain is like the #1 side effect. He wouldn’t give a diagnosis of pain. He refused to get insurance approval to remove the implants. He left Florida because so many patients were ruined from him. I had a woman tell me that her Mother went to her grave in pain from implants that Dr. Metlis refused to take out of her chest. Do not let this man touch you. Horrible bedside manner.

This doctor attacked me physically TWICE because he was angry at me! He should be AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS!! I was so frightened I had nightmares for a long time afterwards. I consulted an attorney but we agreed that the only witnesses were nurses who would put their careers in jeopardy if they had to testify. It's a shame this man chose to be in the medical profession! He is not in it because he cares about healing!
