Dr. Scott Armstrong, MD, FACOG

I am a first-time mom and new to the area, so choosing an OB/GYN was something I did not take lightly. I did a TON of research and met with more than one practice. I decided to go with Dr. Scott Armstrong with OGA in Meridian, ID and I am so happy I did. At OGA, there are multiple doctors and any of them could potentially deliver your baby. I wasn't as concerned about that as I was having the same doctor throughout the pregnancy. This was not a problem at all and while they encourage you to meet with other doctors so you are comfortable, I chose to strictly see Dr. Armstrong and that was fine! My pregnancy was not smooth.. I had a cyst on an ovary that was monitored via ultrasound at each appointment. I also had placenta previa and ultimately had a placental abruption. I was admitted to the hospital (they delivery at St. Luke's Meridian) at 32 weeks and was in the hospital for 12 days before I ultimately had an emergency C-section. Because of that, I was exposed to all of the doctors… in the OGA group and I felt completely comfortable with ANY of them delivering my baby. Dr. Armstrong is considered a conservative doctor, which is what I wanted. I am very type A and wanted a doc that was going to keep me to the books on what to do throughout the pregnancy. If you are looking for a doc who is going to say drinking wine is ok, he isn't it and I appreciated that. Dr. Armstrong was on call the night I ended up delivering - but that was just by luck. My C-section went perfectly and my incision is immaculate. He also saved me from getting a second surgery for the cyst on the ovary I mentioned because he took that out while he was "in there". He saved my baby's life and I couldn't be more thankful. I owe him the world!

I love Dr. Armstrong, he is kind, considerate and a wonderful doctor. I could go to my family doctor for my female needs but I found Dr. Armstrong and won't go anywhere else.
