Beware.. Deckelbaum is riding the tail of Altman’s good name. Using the name and same phone number but our beloved Dr Altman is not there. Front desk told me my insurance accepted. They only charged me my copay. Turns out insurance denied because Altman Dermatology is not Dr Altman. I agreed to pay the amount they would have been paid by insurance but now am being billed for twice that. To top it off, he didn’t treat the reason I went.

I was treated by Dr. Deckelbaum over a year ago and still remember his excellent work and warm manner. I felt confident because of his Mohs credentials. I would highly recommend him.

I have been putting off getting a screening for the last few years. I made appointment and was very impressed with the entire office. Staff were courteous, professional and the office seemed to function efficiently. I found Dr. Declelbaum to be very knowledgeable and friendly, he put me at ease during the examination and explained everything that he was doing. I was very impressed!

Zero stars isn't an option. Staff was dismissive and unfriendly. Visited for the removal of warts for a 14 year old male. Doctor entered the room, looked for 15 seconds and said "are you sure you want to do this, it will hurt." When the child didn't take the easy out the doctor seemed inconvenienced and got his tools. He sprayed warts for 10 seconds and tried to be done but the child asked to do more. Three times total the child asked for more work to be done because as we told the doctor... over the counter treatment wasn't working. As we left Dr. Deckelbaum said to try the instructions he will provide and if it doesn't work we'll move to stage 2. Guess what stage 2 is? The very thing he was supposed to do on this visit. I've been meaning to write a review but just got to it now when I received the bill... $423.00. Yup. 5 minute inept consult = $423.00. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS SCAM. Find a professional who cares about patients.
