Dr. Scott David Lanoux, MD

I was referred to Dr. Lanoux after having surgery for a Stage 5 macular hole. I was virtually blind in the damaged eye and could barely drive at night. He was thorough in his examination, and he and his staff explained everything in detail. Dr. Lanoux is extremely kind and caring, and he kindly let me know that it could be that improved vision wasn't possible because of the prior damage to the macular. Yet, because of his excellent skill as a surgeon, my vision is dramatically improved! The ability to see changes everything! I will be grateful to Dr. Lanoux for his skill and caring for the rest of my life, and I count him as one of my greatest blessings. Dr. Lanoux has my highest praise and recommendation.

One of the best things in my life was when I got Dr. Lanoux as my eye doctor. I knew him as a dad with children at our school. So when I needed a new eye doctor I chose to try him out. It was the best move I ever made! I went for my regular yearly check UPS and rocommended him to my son and husband and many friends. You go to him and is always treated like you are his only patient. He is so attentive, caring, thorough and explains everything to you with great detail and will answer any question. He never rushes you! When you leave his office you know exactly what's going on. Now I have to brag on this wonderful doctor because he has become my hero! I became 52 and my school year was starting and I was doing a lot of computer work and started having a day twice that by end of day I was seeing words not fitting completely together but within 30 mins of being away it came back until the third time. That night I had a suspicion because I had done research on this in my early 40's. The next… morning I called his office as soon as they opened and I got an appointment. I went and explained to him what happened and my symptoms. I then told him I felt it could be macula degeneration. He is always a positive doctor so he said let's not get upset until I check it out. He's very calming! Well after he did his examination I knew when he looked me in the eyes that he was going to have to give me bad news because he is so compassionate. Well he told me that he can't believe it because I am so young but I do have the beginning of macula degeneration. He said he was going to get me with the best retina doctor and he did. I was seeing him in two days and since this started almost 7 years ago he keeps up with me every 4 months and he keeps up with my progress with the retina doctor. If you are blessed to get an appointment with Dr. Lanoux you will be one lucky patient and I can't see you being disappointed in any way.

Dr. Lanoux saved my son's eye and we will forever be grateful! My son was hit in the eye by a baseball and had a severe, ongoing, and extremely painful trauma to the eye. His eye would bleed internally and cause him to go blind in the eye. This reoccurred numerous times. Several doctors stated that the eye would probably never fully recover and that it may be necessary to have the eye removed (Enucleation surgery) and replaced with a artificial "glass" eye. I requested my son's records from those doctors and never took my son back to them. We were so incredibly blessed to have Dr. Lanoux take over treatment of my son's eye injury. Dr. Lanoux was such a dedicated, optimistic and compassionate doctor. He was always so very positive and supportive during my son's treatment. My son and I adore him!! We are so thankful to God and to Dr. Lanoux, as my son is leading a normal, healthy, happy life, with a full recovery and perfect vision in the eye!
