Dr. Scott Michael Mccloskey, MD

After 3 months of suffering day and night without sleep. After 3 months of going back and forth to Ortho Carolina in Hickory with no results except for lightening my wallet of $10,000. After Ortho Carolina doctors repeatedly said they saw nothing whatsoever that was operable that could be causing my pain. After I paid for SHOTS & SHOTS, MRI, CT SCAN and of course PILLS. After 3 months, numerous trips and thousands of dollars out of pocket, I asked my family doctor to refer me elsewhere and he did... to Dr. McCloskey. During my very first visit to Dr. McCloskey and after only just 10 minutes of studying my records, MRI and CT SCAN, Dr. McCloskey told me exactly the problem and what he was going to do to fix it... and just about a week or so later HE DID !!! HE FIXED ME !!! 1-2 weeks after my surgery, I went back to Dr. McCloskey for a follow up visit. I hugged him and thanked him for saving my life because I had been near a point in my life where I never thought I would be,… where my quality of life was just no longer there. Dr S McCloskey may know what he's doing in surgery. He has no compassion for your pain after the surgery. I went home only to return to ER in extreme pain. I called his office and was RUDELY TOLD to get over it. Gave the run around by the staff and hospital. The staff is Awful !! I would NOT Recommend Dr S McCloskey! ! Hope anyone reading this, is Very CAREFUL in considering this doctor's office. Hope you have a very high pain tolerance if you should use Dr McCloskey . Best of luck

I highly recommend Dr McCloskey. He found the real problem and fixed it! Yes, I would go back to him. In fact, I did go back for a totally different surgery which was also successful. If someone is experiencing spine/back problems, a neurologist can diagnose and treat the problem better than an orthopedic physician. I found out that is true.

The tone for a doctors visit is set by the office staff. The office staff did not appear to be very professional. While I was in the waiting room they were very loudly discussing a patient (by name), and how they felt he was over using his pain medication. I am having a horrible time trying to receive test information, adn all I am being told is, "We're working on it."
