Dr. Scott Edward Mimms, MD

His # 1 Patient Dr. Scott Mimms is amazing, and I am not saying that lightly. To me he is a phenomenal doctor. He made me feel as though I was in good hands. He listens to my concerns and takes his time answering questions. As far as my tummy tuck, I had minor pain and NO bleeding. I am currently 1 week post Op today (SMILING). Dr. Mimms perfectly aligned my incision with my panty line and did a great job of removing my scar tissue build up from my C-section. My belly button is perfect and my abdominal is still swollen but that is to be expected. I have 1 drain; it has not been an issue at all. I am snatched! I can’t wait to see my results a few months from now. I can’t leave out nurse Rita and Danielle. They are awesome nurses who care about the wellbeing of their patients. It was obvious they enjoyed their job. To top it all off, my husband was given the post Op care instructions. He was very happy with the information and details they gave him to take care of me. We have… followed all instructions to the T. I am glad I did my research on him and formed my own opinion of Dr. Mimms. No one is perfect but he was PERFECT for me. If you’re looking for a flaw, it would be the front office. I would give them a 7 but the nurses and doctor a 10. You will not be disappointed.

I have visited Dr Mims for my weight loss on three different occasions he was not only on top of things but he listened to what I had to say. Should be ashamed of themselves. They must not have much of a life if they have to waste their time dogging on a good hard working man who not only listens but also is trustworthy in many ways. I went in there without a clue of what I was going to do and now I have a goal of where I'm going to be. I have lost a lot of weight and I have been pushing through day by day but Dr Mims was there for me when no one else was and I respect this man for all that he does.

Dr. Mimms has seen my father and other friends at the Barrington. He is absolutely horrible, has no compassion for patients, and doesn’t listen to patients wants/needs. With the complexity of diseases the elders have, he doesn’t seem to understand how to work with others to actually help his patients. Every time he meet with us, we spend weeks working with our regular doctors to fix which doesn't help his patients heal (which they are there at his facility for). Instead he just keeps prescribing pain meds and other mind numbing medications that keep patients from being able to speak up for themselves and actually get better (which is what they are at the rehabilitation and skilled center to do). He does it to keep getting money and flaunts it with his arrogant demeanor and comments. He has gone as far as lying to a patient because their family and their neurologist strongly disagreed with his pushing his drugs and agenda - he lied about what medications do and how it will make them… feel. I could go on as he should be taken out of practicing medicine and put in jail. His actions, selfishness and poor knowledge is shortening people's lives and that is absolutely wrong.

Dr. Scott Mimms is “BEST” Surgeon I’ve ever seen. He immediately diagnosed my problem and through surgery corrected the problem. Now I have another issue and have to go see him again. He and the Staff are amazing and truly friendly. I drive from Lafayette Indiana because he is such a caring and understanding physician. Also, he did a AWESOME job caring for my elderly Mom. My Mom can be alittle cranky but Dr. Mimms and his staff (especially the Office Manager) had lots patience and empathy. She’s feeling much better after surgery and so am I. If you’re looking for a great Surgeon visit Dr Mimms. I wish you the BEST and I appreciate all the “Blessings of Life” you’ve give our family.

I was referred to Dr.Mimms by a co worker, I was sceptical at first but went anyway. The staff was so friendly and Dr.Mimms was very patient and listened to my every concern. After listening and following his treatment plans I am 65 pounds smaller and feel 10 years younger. Thank you Dr. Mimms for listening to me and helping me live the rest of my life healthy,happy, and making better choices

It’s the little things that matter to most people and you have done so many little things for me that make me know you care about your patients. I remember before going into surgery I looked up and saw your smile and in your eyes I felt the confidence of God in my soul knowing that all would be well....! Your staff was great & one special nurse at Community North was a reflection of your expertise. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the night. Later the next morning I remember hearing someone singing from a distance and it got closer & closer to my room. I looked up and (low & behold) it was you, singing! (smile) Your bedside manner is something to definitely be commended so much so....I referred 8 people to your practice of whom ALL have had surgery and/or weight loss management. I could go on & on but have to end here....but not before saying that you are an extraordinary doctor and most of all you are an extraordinary human being. I have received care from Dr Mimms multiple times and I have always received the best care. He took his time while seeing me and always made me feel very comfortable! (Which made me feel at ease since I am a very anxious person). I feel great and my healed incisions look amazing. He is an excellent General surgeon and Plastic surgeon. From here on out I will only see Dr Mimms. Highly recommend
