Dr. Scott Striplin

I had my kid 2 and a half months early cause he refused to listen to any of the signs of early labor because i was a 'first time mom' and 'panicked too much.' Please do not visit this man under any circumstances. I had several issues in my pregnancy but everything was brushed off and I was sent out the door within a minute of the appointment with him, after waiting over an hour because he was consistently late. When the epidural wore off and it was time to sew the cut made to deliver my kid, he refused me pain medicine. I have flashbacks to this often and still cry 2 years later because of the lack of care and attention. I was never taken seriously and my child will have life long problems due to it. I will never have another child due to the fear of no one listening to me and delivering even earlier, and all the pain caused by being refused medicine. I will have mental scars for life.

My BP started rising last week. I called on Tuesday with concerns about it. I left a message and waited for a return call. I called back Wednesday and was given the excuse that one nurse has to leave early the day before but I would receive a phone call back by that evening. Thursday I called 2x and my husband 1x because my BP was steady rising. I was finally called back by the nurse at 4:58pm and was told that he was in a delivery but they would call me back Friday Morning. Here I am Tuesday of the following week my BP was 171/100. I finally called another OBGYN who was willing to see me today and figure out what was going on. so frustrating.

Had a hysterectomy done by him he was horrible from the first time I saw him when he walked in my room and I was in tears in pain doubled over and he told me I was over reacting and he does not deal with pts with theatrics. My surgery was scheduled for 8am didn’t have it till almost 2 pm. He did not tell me what to expect nor did he tell me the truth on my recovery time he told me a week yet I’m being told 6. His nurses were extremely rude to me. I’m terrified to go back to my follow up appointment because I know he will not understand and will not do anything to help me. He has the worst bedside manner I have ever seen and my father is an ob so I have been around dr and hospitals all my life. If I could have waited due to my pain I would have do not let this dr operate on you he doesn’t even know how to act like a decent human being.

Wonderful experience.. went into early labor with my 2nd child 2 weeks early. He performed an emergency c-section within a few hours and my baby was a healthy 9.8 pound whooper. My 3rd child was scheduled for c-section a week ahead of her due date to prevent some of the complications I had with the last 2 babies. He did a wonderful job with this one as well.... Healthy 8.12 lb baby. If I decide to have another one, I'll definitely go back to Dr. Striplin.

My water broke 5 weeks early. I rushed to the hospital and was given Pitosin & I was having contractions but just wasn't dilating. I literally sat in labor for 18 hours. Finally the nurses told me it was time to push. After about 10 min of pushing Striplin walks in and the nurses tell him they had been trying to get a hold of him and his response was, "Im sorry, I overslept and my phone was dead." My child was born with pretty bad injuries to his head & as soon as he was born he was taken away to be checked for bleeding on his brain & had a broke collarbone.

Waited 2 hours and never saw the doctor. Supposedly my daughters' name was called 3 times. She was sitting in the waiting area the whole time, except for a trip to the bathroom. They even took her urine sample. I was sitting with her for all but 10 minutes. I finally asked at 2 hours past appt time since everyone one else had already been seen. There was an upfront fee which is odd since our insurance doesn't have a co pay. Can't comment on the doctor just his inept staff

I like him but some of his staff has serious attitude problems but some are super nice.

Dr Striplin is great! Very knowledgable, awesome bedside manner. Love him!

During my labor i had 2 epidurals and neither of them worked... Not his fault of course but his comments during were. "You are over reacting, you are going to scare the other women on the floor, you are upsetting everyone in the room." I am sorry that I could not control my emotions through excrusiating pain. He also should have ran some test to insure the safety of my child but brushed it off. Do not recommend him.

I love Dr. Striplin. He is so compassionate and smart. Although it is a long wait time most of the time, it is worth the wait. This is my third pregnancy with him and everything is going great as always. He is also funny and it gives a sense of ease and I am more comfortable. Thank God there are doctors like him.
