Dr. Scott Ira Tiplitsky, MD

My husband was already in pain today and nervous, plus we were both anxious since we didn't truly know what to expect. Every experience from the emergency room to the lithotripsy procedure, to today, had major pain involved! The whole time the Dr was struggling with the extraction tool, arrogantly instructing his assistant to "squeeze the bottle, I said squeeze the bottle...wow, you really can't do more than 1 thing at once" ( this went on for several minutes) and then advising me not to ask if my husband was ok, because I did, but he was good with my comforting him; all while my husband was beet red, holding on to the exam table and moaning in pain!! I thought he was going to pass out from the pain!! He even told him that he couldn't take it anymore and I was one second away from telling him to just Stop before he finally got the stent out! Then once his assistant left, I told him " First of all, I would like to keep this professional and don't appreciate how you treated her and I… will not tolerate it!" He admitted to being and "Asshole" (his word, but if the shoe fits!) and said if he couldn't get it out the next thing would be to have it removed surgically. My husband also has epilepsy, so I was concerned that his medication could also be the cause for his stone. He did check on what medicines can cause it and told us it wasn't one he was on, then gave recovery instructions and asked him how he was afterwards. This is the only reason for the 1 star. Aside from that, HORRIBLE preparation for the procedure and bedside manner!! Very unprofessional and traumatic experience for what should have been a quick stent removal with some pain.

Wow I can't believe this guy is a doctor. Very unprofessional and unethical and so stuck up. I have testosterone issues and he told me that my wife is the problem and I should consider "getting another wife" insinuating that I should cheat on her. He told me that I should feel lucky that I had kids and that some people don't even have kids and wish they had ones and that I should be content with the problems I have now. He used I appropriate words and language. I can't believe this doctor actually went to school.

He fit me in quickly. No wait, and system set up. Reviewed relevant information, looked at images, gave exam, and then provided his conclusion.

Dr. Tiplitski is a very good, well informed and has a great sense of humor. I would highly recommend him.

Good Doctor and a very good guy.

Dr. Tiplitsky has been my prostrate doctor for the last 3 years. I have found him to be a caring, honest, dedicated, and informative doctor. My initial visit was an evaluation of an elevated PSA. He recommended a biopsy. I told him I was scared and concerned about the pain and possible spread of cancer cells, if present, from the procedure. He gave me a thorough explanation of the procedure and its risks, and assured me the pain was minimal if present at all. His confidence and assurance did a great deal to allay my fears...and he was right about the pain, there was none. After the biopsy, the report came back negative. And after 1 year of treatment, the PSA levels came down, my frequent nighttime bathroom visits disappeared, and the enlargement of the prostrate was reduced. I feel great. Thanks doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Tiplitsky. He is an excellent Doctor.

Dr. Tiplinsky is a fine doctor who is well informed and effective. Will spend as much time with you as you need. Well educated and experienced. Highly recommend him.

I knew "Dr." Tiplitsky when he was a little runt in college (Emory)and it comes as no surprise that he has no bedside manner; He was referred to as "Tipper" by his drinking buddies. He was always high strung and eager to take shortcuts back in the day and was always a bit arrogant. Now that he has a white coat on I can only imagine the ego that has been propagated.

The staff and office were great, but Dr. Tiplitsky has a horrible beside manner. He made disrespectful and unprofessional comments towards me and told me there was nothing wrong with me. After he told me there was nothing he could do for me, he told me I was lucky because "I was fine and there are other people there with cancer". I watched my father pass away from cancer just last month and this exactly why a doctor shouldn't make comments like this towards his patients. This was an extremely upsetting experience. I would not recommend Dr. Tiplitsky to anyone.
