Dr. Scott Christopher Ulmer, MD

Scott Ulmer was so busy milking us for 3 1/2 years, he forgot to do scans on my husband. He had left tonsil cancer. Kept telling him repeatedly he was in remission. The records say "scans TBD". Since no scans were done, my young husband is dead. When the cancer was found by an orthopedic PA, the cancer covered his entire torso including in between the vertebrae. Of course, Ulmer still didn't tell us anything. I had to find out from the doctors at Christus Santa Rosa as my husband lay gasping for air when he died.

This doctor followed my husband for 3 1/2 after clearing him of cancer. All he followed was the number of "office visits". Not one scan. A PA at a local Orthopedic group found the massive amount of cancer after he fell and cracked a vertebrae. Now my beautiful young husband is dead. Thanks Dr. Ulmer!

You could not find a better Oncologist or a more caring Person than Dr. Ulmer. Their practice uses the latest in treatments and the staff is the best of any medical practice I have ever been associated with. I have CLL and have been a patient of theirs for over 5 years now and before that was with another Oncologist office. There is every reason to believe I would not be here today if I had not changed Oncologist.

Dr. Ulmer and his entire staff are amazing! They are all kind compassionate and understanding! He has amazing bedside manner and I always leave his office feeling better no matter what my scans and reports say. I'm thankful he is my oncologist.

Dr. Ulmer and my Neurosurgeon most likely saved my life. Was sent to Dr Ulmer by my Neurosurgeon to determine if Plavix,an anti-platelet, worked on me and also if Prilosec interferred with the actions of Plavix. Dr.Ulmer ran the test which showed results that Plavix most likely would was not working on me. Because there was some general controversy about the reliability of the test, Dr. Ulmer went out of his way to discuss with other doctors (I believe at Duke University) whether the test was reliable and gave me the answers in detail. Based on Dr. Ulmer's information, my cardiac surgeon and I were able to make the decision in favor of cardiac bypass surgery vs. a stent. I could have died if a stent had been used or ended up with emergency bypass surgery. All of this happened in 2009, and I am very grateful to Dr.Ulmer for the time and effort he put in to getting me accurate answers. I do not work for Dr. Ulmer as one of the people who wrote suggested and who called Dr. Ulmer evil. He… is definitely not evil and is a caring knowledgeable doctor.

Was told I had Stage 2 breast cancer. After chemo, surgery and radiation: followups, etc. 3 years later was told i was "cured"???. 6 months later came back for another follow up and diagnosed with relapse of stage 4 breast cancer, very aggressive with less than 2 years survival. Found out later when i went to another facility for help that my original diagnosis was stage 3a triple negative breast cancer! Talk about a shocker. Fighting for survival now!

I've gone to see Dr. Ulmer for some concerns about an autoimmune disorder since he is a hemotologist. He was incredibly patient with me and very thorough. He does his best to reassure his patients and keep them well informed. He makes you feel like he is your only patient with the amount and quality of time he spends with you. I highly recommend him. Very knowledgeable!
