Dr. Comeau is a real stand up guy. He is a pleasure to talk to and makes me feel comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Dr. Comeau is an excellent physician. To tell the truth I was very nervous for this appointment because I had never thought I would ever see a psychiatrist. Well sometimes you have to realize that what you are doing my not be enough and that's what got me there. He was professional and respectful. He made me feel comfortable talking about my life and he explained the different options that we could explore with treatments. He didn't just try to push medications! I wanted to let you know that he has been great to me and I would highly recommend him

Dr. Comeau has been very professional and helpful throughout my visits with him. He really helped me at a time when I was down and I am happy to say I am back in a much better place because of him. I highly recommend him!

I’ve had many bad experiences with physicians, but seeing Dr. Comeau changed my mind about the future of medicine. Instead of staring at a computer screen and typing away question after question, he faced me and listened to my story. Not glancing at the screen typing and nodding, he was listening and making EYE contact! Who’d have thought!? He was very professional and thorough. A great physician that I would highly recommend!

I did have my doubts about seeing a psychiatrist, but Dr. Comeau was warm and compassionate which put my mind at ease. He spent the entire time talking to ME (not looking at his computer like other doctors I’ve seen) and listening to my story. He even spent time at the end of the session to go over different coping skills I could use until the next appointment. I had a great experience with him

Dr. Comeau is a resident doctor that truly cares about his patients. He listened intently to me and gave me different options when it came to treatment and moving forward. I have suffered from anxiety and depression for as long as I can remember. He made me feel comfortable right away and made sure to understand what was important to me and what my main concerns were. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a compassionate and very intelligent psychiatrist. I am not sure why the other review is so negative. They might have him confused with someone else.

Appearantly doesn’t read important and recent records. Very rude beside manners. Prejudice and accusatory and would be better off by simply notifying a patient that their case is too complicated for him when that’s the case. I had to use every way possible to track him down this holiday season to get doctor approval that the pharmacies told me they were repeatedly not getting any answers from him whether a yes or no or approval date and when he called me back he sounded like how dare I interrupt his holiday plans for a moment to fix this problem and started out being accusatory with no basis for his accusation. He should have asked for or looked up my pain doctors name and spoke to him as a character witness and if he needed more names and phone numbers I could have provided those as well. It would have saved me a lot of tears and grief during the worst time of the year since my accident that was caused by a different hospital which was nearly fatal and left me injured. One of… the injuries was that of my brain and that’s what Student Dr. Comeau was treating as well as his team and if not for that injury to I wouldn’t be needing Psychiatric Care. He took over for my other team as that student Dr. was transferred to the VA so Dr. Comeau had to take over and when he did I was still a mess and in and out of the hospital and multiple surgeries all the while yet he accused me of basically being a medication seeker which all docs that know me know that’s a load of crap and I even told him to look at my chart and how I was prescribed certain medications for other reasons that aren’t for as needed and not the usual and he would know it’s purpose if he read my file. I even have my original team voice recorded for my own records on how to take the medications and why as it was a bit unusual but when scientifically explained it made sense. So I have proof he didn’t read my file and jumped to the wrong conclusions. If you are a simple case and you aren’t disabled and you can drive yourself to appointments then he will work for you. But if not, I highly recommend you get someone else. Don’t forget...your body is yours and you are in charge of it not any doctor and it’s your insurance or money paying for their time and education therefore you’re the boss...you can hire and you can fire. And if they don’t like you asking questions get rid of them...again it’s your body not theirs and you have the right to know all you possibly can and you can hire and fire. Before my injury I wouldn’t have needed Psychiatric help but my brain has been injured/damaged likely permanently and it’s worse that I wasn’t born with it because I know who I was and who I will never be again. This student Dr. needs to humble himself or turn in his white coat because what he said over the phone and during a time of triggers everywhere that call could have had lethal consequences and yes it did lead to a major meltdown. Not cool at all and I will be reporting it after the new year.
