Dr. Seblewongel Bulcha Debosse, MD

Had my yearly exam with Dr Bulcha she felt my neck as protocol . 2 days later I felt a giant lump which clearly she missed . Contacted her office multiple times /practically had to beg for an ultrasound script . Went back and forth multiple times ….Finally got it . After all this hassle I now have thyroid cancer . I decide to send her the results …. Just to see what happens and She says nothing . Zero response to me . I will never see her again . Makes me sick . Unbelievable

Dr Bulcha is an excellent physician. She is very thorough and patient. I usually have a list written of concerns and questions and she has never seemed annoyed. She takes her time in addressing all matters. . I highly recommend her.

This is a poorly run/ mismanaged office or just lazy. My 82 year old mother tested positive for covid and called the office at 3:30 pm about getting antiviral prescription . The triage nurse said they would take care of it . Unfortunately they never did anything ( my poor mother who has anxiety was stressing all night because Dr Bulcha is too lazy or doesn't have enough time to do her job ) My mother proceeded to call the office right when it opened and 2 times later and was told the doctor was too busy . My mother finally did get a call back after 1:00 pm the next day thanks to her persistence. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Dr Bulcha she seems more concerned about meeting her quotas than about the patients under her care .

After searching long and hard for a local primary care provider who like me is a woman of color, I decided to give Dr. Bulcha a try despite the negative reviews. I've seen her a few times now and find her to be attentive, actually listens and upfront. Yes, her manner is direct and assertive. As someone who is admittedly not the most health focused and full of excuses, Dr. Bulcha is exactly what I needed to whip me into shape. Her advise comes from a place of knowledge and genuine care. Shore Physician Group is an excellent office. I'm able to get an appointment with little delay, estimate the duration of the visit and actually make it back to work on time. They act as a true care provider linking me to specialists with little effort needed on my part. After Dr. Bulcha submits a referral, the lab, imaging and surgeon actually called me to schedule an appointment. That's never happened to me before! Dr. Bulcha followed up with me to ensure I received the results. My old doctor rarely… gave me such courtesies. She explains the diagnosis to me and not in an infantile dismissive manner. Could kick myself for not ditching my old primary sooner. I can't help but wonder if some of negative postings were in part driven by prejudice and xenophobia. My experience couldn't have been more different.

As far as manner Dr Bulcha has always been a pleasure to see very warm and not at all close minded or confrontational. I believe in patient being actively involved in their treatments ...experience and patient input are important. But the Dr is the Dr in my case Dr Bulcha has been receptive to my input but when she feels strongly about something she asserts herself and I take her advice..haven’t had any issues with her in about 5-6yrs since my old fashion Doc retired.

Wow. More bad reviews I found with this doctor, on another website . Please consider that , it's a different website . literally just left her office . I am a new patient, today was my first day. Sadly I did not read any reviews about the doctor prior to my visit . After I left the office, I immediately got in my car and googled her and these sad reviews are what I found . Some of these reviews described the experience I just had , exactly blow by blow . After her dismissing my past experiences that I have had with the same issue I came to this new doctor to treat , she made me feel like my experiences were wrongly misdiagnosed in the past . I felt as though she reluctantly listened. It seemed almost like we were arguing back and forth , and I just couldn't believe this was occuring !!! . I respect her title and experiences, but sadly, I feel like she dismissed my concerns and my experiences by stating I was probably misdiagnosed in the past . I respect her role and her knowledge… but I don't appreciate her "bedside" manners. Making your patients feel THAT UNCOMFORTABLE is unacceptable. So here I am , now after reading all of the negative reviews that I just found on MORE THAN ONE PAGE by DIFFERENT NEW PATIENTS , also posting my experience as well. If you want a physician who makes you uncomfortable by telling you your experiences and not worth considering, then this is the doctor for you. she may have decades in the field but it doesn't mean she's GOD. and certain ailments can't manifest in other forms, signs and symptoms. That's the problem I noticed with seasoned doctors . That probably explains why some new patients rather see the newer, younger doctors because they are receptive to your experiences and are willing to listen .

I recently had occasion to visit Doctor Bulcha; for the last time. I am native American, Lakota. Long black hair and the obligatory tattoos'. After telling the doctor about the pains my symptoms' presented, she---with a straight face responded, "How many years have you been an IV drug user?" and, "Sounds like hepatitis C or your pancreas." After chocking back copious tears of laughter, I responded, "Never, ever and again---Never" Turns out it was none of the above. After being checked by another---competent doctor---, said complaints turned out to be stage 3 kidney disease. I'm thankful some docs' can set aside stereotypes and save lives rather than entertain skepticism.
