Dr. Seema Sangwan, MD

Dr. Sangwan has been primary care doctor for both my wife and I for several years, but our experience has steadily declined to the point where I can no longer recommend her to anyone. From the start, her practice has felt like a high-turnover training ground for inexperienced student residents. Appointments are rushed, and her care for routine issues often boiled down to blindly prescribing antibiotics with minimal investigation. Still, we remained patients because she was familiar with my wife’s rare chronic condition—a rarity in itself—and we valued her optimistic outlook and the continuity of care. Unfortunately, that trust has now been eroded beyond repair. On the medical front, without getting into specifics, her history of prescribing treatments without fully considering potential risks or complications has resulted in serious, lasting harm to my wife, which we believe could have been avoided with proper diligence and attention to her medical history. But then, over the past… few months, Dr. Sangwan has repeatedly reassigned our appointments to a far less capable colleague without notice. This bait-and-switch has happened six times—twice during video visits, once at an in-person appointment where we were informed “she’s busy” (which was immediately shown to be untrue when we learned she wasn’t even in the office), and most recently just now, less than two hours before my wife’s scheduled appointment. We were just informed that Dr. Sangwan will be transitioning to a fully concierge-based practice requiring a $2000 annual per-patient advance deposit. The short notice alone would be unacceptable, but the choice we were given (pay an exorbitant fee for the privilege of basic medical care or accept substandard treatment from someone unqualified to manage my wife’s condition) isn’t just unprofessional — it’s unethical. Dropping loyal patients without notice, and without a viable transition plan, demonstrates a disregard for patient well-being and an alarming lack of accountability. To any prospective patients considering Dr. Sangwan: my assessment is that she's a mediocre doctor running an unprofessional practice. This isn't someone I can keep trusting with my health or the care of my wife. I urge anyone in need of a reliable, compassionate doctor to look elsewhere.

Dr Sangwan is the doctor you need. She is intelligent, knowledgeable, caring, and interested in you and your health. She and her staff are there for you. Appointments are available when you need them. She provides excellent care and referrals when necessary. You do not feel like a number. Your appointments are never hurried.Ladies especially, you will be understood and not dismissed. Her office staff is wonderful too. Dr. Sangwan has been my physician for years. I cannot say enough good things about her and her practice.

Dr. Sangwan is the best. She cares for her patients like family. She is kind and caring. She is an excellent physician. She listens to you and her office staff are wonderful. I have been a patient for many years.

Always a calm, reassuring visit. Dr Sangwan puts caring about the “whole person” actively into her practice. She is wonderful with the basic like blood tests and annual visits thorough, to more complicated like Covid, a less stressful experience because I knew she truly cared and was there with me throughout. I recommend her to anyone looking for a primary care doctor.
