Dr. Sergio Jose Cabrera, MD

Every appointment was extremely rushed. I was induced for no medical reason and only on oxytocin for 9 hours before having a c-section. Everything was very rushed and he didn’t give my labor time to progress. Makes me wonder if he did it for scheduling reasons or money. Either way I feel my birth was handled improperly and very rushed. Finding another doctor.

He delivered both of my children and was very personable and sweet! So glad to have a doctor that genuinely cares about his patients!

Great Doctor! Won't ever see any other doctor so if he retires or moves I just won't have anymore children. He is the only doctor I trust.

Dr. Cabrera is a wonderful O.B. He is very thorough and he takes time with every patient. The wait time is a bit long, because he talks to andn listens to his patients so if you need the time, he will give it to you. His nurse Teresa is excellent! I go in and feel so welcomed and like I actually matter. I was with a previous doctor before Dr. Cabrera and wasn't too happy. Dr. Cabrera actually delivered my first baby and I felt so at ease I decided to switch from my previous dr. to him. I told my husband we cannot move until I have had all my children with Dr. Cabrera!

I had a very good experience with Dr cabrera. I had another doctor who I didn`t have any support and care, so I decided to change and with 6 months of pregnancy I got his office. I had my first baby delivered by him, since my sister in law recommended himand had hers 10 years ago delivered by him. I did have very good deliver support and my c section was a sucess. I really appreciate all the support and good care him and his staff gave to me and my baby.

I went in for a routine pap smear. I told Dr.Cabrera that my husband and I would like to try for another child. He ordered lab work and an ultrasound, and determined that my hormone level was abnormal and that the lining of my uterus was thick. So, he said the quickest solution would be a dilation & curettage (d&c) which is the scraping of the lining of the uterus; and a laparoscopy for chronic pelvic pain. He said I most likely had endometriosis, even though I told him I didn't have any of the symptoms he showed me on a list. He prescribed me meds that are similar to Morphine, even though I said I didn't have any pelvic pain. The only reason I didn't go into surgery earlier as Cabrera was urging, was because I had a trip to TX. I suspected that I might be pregnant, and took a at home pregnancy test and it came up positive. I tried to schedule an appointment with an ultrasound tech, but the nurse Teresa said they couldn't get me one until the day before my pre-op. My husband scheduled… an appt. with another doctor. When I described my hormone levels and thickening of my uterus lining, he said those were early signs of a pregnancy. After lab work, it turned out I was 6 weeks pregnant. Had I gone through surgery with Cabrera, I would've been having an abortion. So, I'm confused how a doctor in his field missed that. When we tried to call to question them, his nurse Teresa hung up on my husband. We are in the process of filing a formal complaint against her.
