Poor all around, poor waiting room, dirty exam room etc....

POOR CARE, POOR WAITING ROOM, DIRTY EXAM ROOMS.

I had previously been seen by general practitioners for my Diabetes. I switched to Dr. Penaherrera's office because he specializes in Diabetic care. After some changes to my previous regimen, my blood sugar and blood pressure levels are now under control. He and his staff are all very professional and courteous.

I've got a lipoma right up against my spine that is causin severe pain and neurological deficits. This doctor and his nurse practitioner REFUSED to send me to Focused Imaging for an MRI. Nor did they want to give me pain medication. Their solution was a muscle relaxer, ibuprofin, and PHYSICAL THERAPY! Two days later I called and tol them this treatment wasn't working at all and I was getting worse. They still refused pain meds and told me to go to the ER or Urgent Care if the pain was that bad. So, instead of them writing an rx for vicodin, which would've only costed less than $5, I had to spend $50 at urgent care for a $3 rx. I would NEVER recommend this doctor to ANYONE!! Now I have to find a new doctor to get my MRI so I can go to Phoenix and have surgery by a neurosurgeon!
