Dr. Seth Cohen, MD

Dr. Seth Cohen performed my surgery. It went very well, and the recovery period was short, without the complications and side effects that I had been informed were possible. I didn't need to take painkillers even after the first day following the surgery. A highly competent doctor!

I’m very happy to write this review with all my gratitude to Dr. Seth Cohen and his staff. They are wonderful, I have lot to say about them, and only great things. Dr. Cohen is an amazing doctor, very knowledgeable, and an amazing human being. I’m very blessed to be his patient. I fly from Florida where there was nothing they could do for me, and I’m here after over 3 years. Dr Cohen is always involved, and stays on top of my health situation, has a great communication with me, and other doctors that have been a part of my journey. Despite being very busy, I never felt rushed during the appointments. I trust very much in Dr. Cohen, I thank him, and his stuff that I can enjoy my life today.

So I've been referred to Mr. Cohen (I wouldn't consider call him a doctor at this time) by couple other colleagues at NYU Langone, mentioning his witty mind and huge background in troubling me area. Upon arriving, all vitals have been taken by one of the nurses. Nurses were charming, sweet and very professional. Mr. Cohen arrived about 5 minutes after that. Even though I have been a long-member of NYU Langone, Mr. Cohen completely ignored everything saved on my file by previous doctors, including all exams and related information. Instead he insisted me to tell him the whole story and was interrupting every minute, by making conclusions without even letting me finish. When I was rebutting his conclusions and pointing to the fact and referring to the information on my file, instead he responded that it's irrelevant. On top of that Mr. Cohen was rushing through things and when I mentioned that I would prefer to stick to the other's doctors recommendations - he rebutted with 'So you… would prefer doing nothing'. Truth be told, I feel ashamed that NYU Langone, with it's stellar record of wonderful doctors, has such uncourteous person on board. All of this is my personal opinion and I might be wrong, of course. To all people reading this, please, consider choosing real doctor instead. NYU has a wonderful portfolio, just choose another one.

I visited Seth three times in 2018 in Long Island. On the first, he said that my prostatitis would have a 99% chance of going away and prescribed an antibiotic and called it a day. After that failed i visited him twice throughout the year and he still didn't run any tests to check to see if I had a more serious prostate problem, DESPITE visiting him 3 times. I am in consistent pain and have pretty much given up on life and just lay in bed all day due to the discomfort. Seth, if you are reading this, give up being a doctor and find another profession. You are not cut out for this. For prospective patients reading this, STAY AWAY, for your own good

He’s a great dr and more then that he’s a great person

My husband went to see Dr. Seth Cohen and has been waiting for his sperm analysis results. It has been 3 weeks now. My husband called his office almost 10 times now to get his results and each time they promise to send them that day or upload to the portal or promise Dr. Cohen will call us. Havent heard a thing. No results. I am a physician myself and this is very disappointing that he treats patients this way. He is probably waiting for follow up to bill us more money. It is extremely stressful to wait for sperm results. He is delaying our fertility planning. Horrible. Do not recommend.

Dr. Cohen is an understanding doctor who comes off as genuinely wanting to help. The only disadvantage was scheduling my first appointment, which took some diligence on my part. Over time, the administrative staff seems to have improved. No complaints.

My husband was diagnosed with multiple forms of cancer and we feel that Dr Cohen has proven himself to have been the best choice we could have made. His treatment,respect,referrals,accessabilityand success have all been top notch. His low key approach is welcome.

I have had one of the most frustrating and humiliating experiences of my life at the office of Dr. Seth Cohen. I was referred to him by my surgeon after I was diagnosed with cancer and underwent surgery. The first time I called Dr. Cohens office I was assured by Lucy, his receptionist, that she would call me back the next day to schedule an appointment. A week later no call. When I called the second time to let the receptionist know I was having a problem scheduling the visit, she literally laughed at me. Cancer and it's aftermath, to me, is not a laughing matter. The same day I spoke to Molly, the office manager, who took my contact information and had all my medical results faxed over to her. Its been over two weeks and I have not had one call. If you are a cancer patient, I advise against going to Dr. Seth Cohen. Obviously, his office staff doesnt seem to care about cancer patients in the way that they should; nor does he, since he seems to accept this kind of behavior from his… staff.
