Excellent practice. Would not exist without him. Genuinely grateful for him!

I saw Dr. Katz last week as I was recommended by my regular OBGYN. I was confused on why I was sent there as I am not currently trying to conceive. He listened to my health concerns, when I say listened I mean truly listened and cared. I have been pushed from doctor to doctor in the last couple of years and have never came across any as compassionate as Dr. Katz. When it comes time for me to conceive there is no question that he will be the Doctor to make that possible. I highly highly highly recommend him and his team!

Thanks to Dr. Katz and his team, my husband and I are currently 15 weeks and 1 day pregnant with a precious little girl on the way ?? After 3 failed IUI attempts and 1 successful IVF I can honestly say I have never been so blessed to have these amazing people assist us with starting our family.

Hello, my name is Kimi and I have been on my infertility journey with Dr. Katz and have gotten to know him VERY well through all of the highs and lows of this sensitive issue. He's not only a remarkable doctor...but he is a remarkable man... that has respect, integrity and great character. One of the most personable and authentic doctors I have ever met. TRULY. Given that I am in the helping medical field myself I know what it requires to give good care. And my expectations of other medical professionals are quite high when it come to quality of care. I took a moment and read through a couple of reviews listed below and honestly couldn't disagree more with some of the things said. So, please take them with a grain of salt. Infertility is a highly emotional experience and I'm certain that some things can be mistaken and even misunderstood...and taken very personal due to the sensitivity of the subject. I would highly reccomend him and I actually have to others. I believe you would be in… the best of hands with a person that give his absolute ALL to his patients. Woke up today happy, excited, almost relieved that today would be the beginning of a new journey that would lead us to finally being able to start a family...boy was I wrong. After a year and a half of trying to have a baby, I consulted with my OB. My husband went through the semen analysis and based on the results she said it wasn't impossible for us to get pregnant naturally, but not very likely. She said that we should be great candidates for IUI and felt confident that would be an easy fix and we would not have to go through IVF..she then referred us to Reach... We chose the Lake Norman office as it was not only closer to home but I really like the small practice feel...our experience with the nurses over the phone and in person was pleasant..then we met with Dr. Katz...I had read some not so glowing reviews about him, but didn't let that bother me..wish I had and I would have saved me the time and tears. I am not a sensitive person and I don't require fluff, sugar… coating or hand holding, but I do require respect. I do not write negative reviews..unless it is warranted. I was very uncomfortable from the moment we stepped in his office. Not standing to greet your patients when they walk into your door is just rude. I noticed he gave us both the look over and immediately I felt on edge and knew this wasn't going to be how I envisioned. I tried to force the feelings away because I wanted this to work and we were just so eager to get the ball rolling..but my gut told me otherwise. Within 60 seconds of meeting him he looked at my husband's test results, scrunched his nose, sighed and said that yep they were just not going to do and if we wanted a baby we had to do IVF. He sounded frustrated and almost annoyed by us and we hadn't even gotten past Hello, how are you? Pretty much made us feel hopeless from the get-go. I wanted to leave and had to hold back the tears... I tried to move on by expressing to him that my doctor had recommended IUI and we would prefer to start with that if possible. I really did not want to go through the IVF process and medications unless it was our last resort. Once again he huffed basically saying it wasn't an option that it would not work and would pretty much be a waste of his time. He said he would do it if we wanted but he wanted to do IVF...and said that might not even work... He continued on to ask us if we understood what he was saying..multiple times..as if we were little children. Continued to talk about money..after I told him it wasn't a concern...I have never been more disgusted or discouraged in my life. Your doctor should be someone you can trust, someone honest, someone with at least some compassion...and if not compassion..be professional enough to get through the details and explain everything without belittling their patients. I don't understand how someone in this line of work can rip your heart out with a chuckle and grin. As an infertility physician, you meet with women daily who are discouraged, stressed and frustrated..the last thing we need is a car salesman trying to sell us the leather seats if we do not need the leather seats..jeez, have a heart! With all that said, I ended the conversation with letting him know we would think about it...as in other words I will never step place in this office again, and you better believe nor will any of my friends or acquaintances. The second I heard the office door close behind me the tears started streaming...please do yourself a favor and stay away from Dr. Katz. As someone who knows what you are going through, the last thing you need is a snarky Doctor not giving you the time of day you deserve. When we began this journey, I had no idea how vital it would be in getting the right doctor. Shame on me for assuming that all doctors trying to create life were created equally...picking the doctor should be the easy part of all of this...I have started to read reviews of other doctors in the area and I am so disappointed ....looks like my journey will be prolonged even more as we search for a decent doctor... ..to be continued...

I like Dr. Katz a lot. He was straightforward, honest and compassionate which seemed like a great bedside manner to have for patients going through infertility. Unfortunately, I must have pressed his buttons as a patient because I would ask him a bunch of questions about all my options from my own research and curiosity. I was shocked to discover that the clinic had fabricated some story about my bad mouthing Dr. Katz to a fellow patient in the waiting room, refused to accept my denials or even have a discussion with all the parties involved to resolve the issue. Clearly, this isn't about a he said/she said. Dr. Katz will drop you without any warning if you ask questions. Personally I think that speaks badly for his integrity as a doctor but the choice is yours.
