Dr. Seth Joseph Richter, MD

I made an appointment with Dr. Richter and was told another doctor would also be seeing me. Instead the other doctor (a 2nd year fellow) saw me almost exclusively; Dr. Richter came in for 1-2 min. The care was reasonable for the fellow's experience, but the appointment was specifically for Dr. Richter. Furthermore, the charges were in Dr. Richter's name with cost expected from doctor of his experience, not someone still in training. It was explained to me afterward that they are a teaching facility and that Dr. Richter does not actually see patients anymore. I respect that and realize that I may have received more attention from the fellow than I would have from Dr. Richter. But this was not made clear to me from the beginning and was not what I signed up for.

I visited this doctor in 2007 with my stomack problem. When I saw him and started to talk about my problem, he did not ask me any questions such as my history and other stuff. He just appointed me to do the endoscopy. Endoscopy was under narcosis, so I don't know what they did. In the some nurse came to me - showed the pictures of the procedure andd said that's everything is fine, that I have just hpilory - they gave me meds for free. And that is all. Meds did not help. They did not make the appointment for the follow-up, so I never saw them again. I am very suspicious of what they did to me. I was under narcosis - one day I throw up a nodular - It is strange...

What a terrible experience...Dr. Richter spent plenty of time in the appointment with me, gave me a prescription and told me to call him in two weeks and tell him if my symptoms improved. I called back after two weeks with worse symptoms and asked to speak with the Dr. I also called the next day after not hearing back...finally, four days later, a nurse called and had no idea what my diagnosis or symptoms were; I asked to speak with the doctor and she instead, "gave him a message." I called back a week later in great discomfort with considerably worse symptoms, and asked again for the doctor to call me back. I received a call from the nurse who said to try doubling my medication...I asked why I couldn't speak with the doctor, and she didn't have an answer.
