Dr. Seth Alan Rosen, MD

During my colon removal, Dr. Rosen intentionally removed my terminal ileum (the last several inches of the small intestine), but there was nothing wrong with it. He kept it out of the operating report but the pathologist indicated it was removed and nothing wrong with it. As a result. I’m on hospice and unable to survive. He first denied removing it and then said it was because he didn’t like me. His actions were devastating.

Very disrespectful towards my mother and I. Will never forget his outburst and bipolar behavior. We decided against surgery since his robotics team messed up and he got very mad, said I would need the surgery eventually and that he was going to do it and stormed out like a 5 year old throwing a temper tantrum. My mother and I still talk about it to this day and that was thanksgiving of 2017. He also threatened outing us on a list of patients he won’t operate on ever. How maniacal can you be? Disgusting person. Not sure how he still has his license. Wouldn’t recommend to worst enemy.

Dr. Rosen is an amazing surgeon. He saved my husbands life by removing his cancer. He explained everything thoroughly and told us what to expect throughout the months leading up to the surgery, as well as the months afterward. We also love his PA-C, Lindsay, who has treated us so kindly. We couldn’t be happier with Rosen’s team. Phil (my husband) is about to undergo his 4th surgery tomorrow since being diagnosed with stage 3b colon cancer, and we feel so at ease knowing that Rosen will be there. We trust him with our lives and we will forever be grateful to him.

Dr. Rosen is the most arrogant and condescending doctor I have been to in my 82 years. Regretfully, I felt like punching him out. It is amazing that he gets good ratings from so many. I am not commenting on his medical expertise because I don't know. THERE IS NO WAY I WILL EVER GO BACK TO HIM!

I went to Dr Rosen for an examination and opinion after a subtotal collectomy I had in Oct of 2017 . I saw Rosen in the late summer of 2018. My symptoms weren't improving. I'd lost 10 more lbs since surgery because of inability to digest food. Was having horrible bowel, sigmoid (all I have left of colon) pain and hemmoroids. His first question was why are you here to see me after I explained what was going on. He was rude, uninterested, told me my symptoms were all gastrointestinal and had nothing to do with surgical opinion. I asked about test to see if everything was ok after surgery. He said you could have tests but I don't "think" you need to. He pushed on my stomach, stuck his finger in my but, told me it was totally normal to have rectocele still a year after that surgery had been done!!!! He reluctantly had his nurse look up a gastroenterologist when I asked if he knew of one that might have knowledge of issues after this type of surgery. In other words he might as well have… said just suffer till you die, it's nothing to me. It was a totally demoralizing visit. It took me a little while to get over his treatment and forgive him but I feel like Inowe it to potential patients to record my experience here.

I had expected to be in a lot of pain and for the surgery to be more complicated, But Dr. Rosen was able to remove all three hemorrhoids with one cauterization. A little sore, but not much pain the day after. The hospital operating and support team were awesome as well.

Dr. Rosen is a very nice man and easy to talk to about somewhat uncomfortable subjects. He completed a colonoscopy on me at age 42 and honestly the prep treatment was more uncomfortable than the procedure or follow up discussions with Dr. Rosen. I would recommend him to everyone.

For many years, Dr Rosen has performed all my colonoscopies and my husbands. We both have never had problem and will continue to go to him.

Dr. Rosen performed an anterior colon resection on me last week, I am doing well and have been very impressed with his care. I found Dr. Rosen to be thorough in his physical assessment and review of my medical records. He spent a significant amount of time with me discussing options, including possible surgical options, for my condition,and at no time did I feel that he was "pushing" me towards surgery. I am a health care professional and appreciated the fact that Dr. Rosen did not "assume" I needed less discussion or explanation than a non medical patient. I found Dr. Rosen to be the consummate professional in all regards. My husband commented on the amount of time Dr. Rosen spent with him following my surgery, answering any and all questions. I was released from the hospital on my 4th post op day, and will see Dr. Rosen tomorrow, my 7th post op day. All is going along as planned. I would highly recommend Dr. Rosen for any colo-rectal procedure.

I was referred to Dr. Rosen for surgery. He was unusually throrough in his assessment of my condition, explained my situation completely, including risks of the procedure, and gave me plenty of time to ask questions. I was very impressed with Dr. Rosen's obvious concern for my welfare and greatly encouraged by his confident and caring demeanor. I would recommend Dr. Rosen very strongly to anyone in my situation.
