Dr. Shahal Rozenblatt, PhD

I found Dr. Shahal Rozenblatt on a list of independent Neuropsychologists from my daughters school. Dr. Rozenblatt is an excellent Neuropsychologist in my opinion. His report was broken down by paragraph in lame terms based upon test results, medical history, my verbal statement and a (2year) note log from daily interactions with my daughter etc. When I read the diagnosis, I was confused and Dr. Rozenblatt took the time out to explain as well as expressing, he would attend the IEP meeting once scheduled at the school. Thank You, Dr. Rozenblatt! I Recommend Dr. Rozenblatt

Limited/antiquated understanding of ASD outside of demographics he's accustomed to working with and/or researching.

I reconcile with the other negative review. (I had a disturbingly similar experience.) I not only regret using his services for this reason, but I found that he had absolutely no bed side manner.

Without Dr Rozenblatt experate knowledge and diagnosis my son would have been an adult illiterate . Dr Rozenblatt’s friendly ,positive attitude made my son feel relaxed and eager to participate in the extensive 2 day evaluation. Every party of my sons evaluation was explained, along with any questions and concerns I had. Dr Rozenblatt is without a doubt a expert in his field. I highly recommend him !

Stay away from this "doctor". He cares much more about legal side of the "case" than about helping his patients. When he called me with results of his "analyses" his first words were: "I have your results and it's not going to be good for your case...". What kind of doctor is concerned about the "case" more than about well-being of his patient? If the answers on your neuropsychological evaluation are below the average threshold, he would deem your effort as "insufficient" and answers as "non-credible", and will not provide any diagnosis or the treatment plan. If you still want to be evaluated by this "doctor", make sure you are off any medication you have been taking to reduce the pain of you medical condition since it would definitely impact your brain's "sharpness" and make your scores below average. I'm on 3 types of medications for the last 5 month. It doesn't really help much with concentration and been sharp enough to score higher to match this "doctor's" expectations... If… your "social life scores" are too low due to the pain caused by medical conditions, time spent in the hospitals and medical treatments, it's just another proof to this "doctor" that your effort is "insufficient" and answers are "non-credible". To avoid his sarcastic remarks during evaluation, I should've taken a "refresher course" covering complete high school curriculum of mathematics and spelling before the evaluation . It's 21st century! Everyone is using Calculators and MS Word spell check for the last 20 years! Keep in mind that for this "doctor" the low scores in many areas is a proof that your effort is "insufficient" and answers are "non-credible"! Now thanks to this "doctor", in addition to physical pain I have a feeling of diminished self worthiness!
