Dr. Buchan has always shown professionalism, courtesy and kindness. I have been a patient for 8 years.

Dr. is more concerned with payment than patient's well-being. When you question her diagnosis/prescriptions she becomes defensive, almost paranoid.The visits were extremely brief and were more about insurance processes and payment than discussion Of meds and their effects.No bedside manner, curt, and uncaring.Should seek psychiatric help herself.

Do not see this doctor. She is HORRIBLE! I have filed a complaint against her with the medical board. She prescribed an anti anxiety med for me and scheduled a follow up visit for 2 months later. I had a very bad reaction to the meds she presribed and phoned her to ask her to please presribe me something else. I had been on effexor years ago and knew I could tolerate it , so I asked if we could give that a try. She prescribed a high dose to start off with and I expressed my concerns that it may be hard for me to adjust to and asked for the lower dose . She refused and after a week I called and asked again. She did not return my call so , once again, I called and left a message. She returned my call and immediately told me to find another doctor. She was EXTREMELY nasty and rude. I have never had an experience like that with a Doctor before. It is completely unnaceptable. I was in a very fragile state emotionally and physically during that time. I went to her for help and she was… completely uncaring and mean. She has no business being in the healthcare industry.I feel bad for anybody who puts their trust in her.

Dr. Shahin Buchan violated HIPAA, let my mother know (was also a patient) I was getting a divorce/sperated from my husband. My husband and I worked things out and I was glad I had kept our temporary seperation private from my family. That was until last week I recieved a call from my fratic mother wanting to know why I was getting divorced, ect. ect. Dr. Buchan had just told her during her visit. Not to mention that my mother didn't even know I was going to a psychiatrist, and I wanted to keep it that way. Dr. Buchan had no right to even tell her I was a patient nevermind what we had discussed in private. I am currently filing a complaint with HIPAA and I zm hoping she gets some kind of fine. Basically if you respect your privacy, don't go see this shotty doctor working out of her garage.

She is more worried about getting paid then actually about your welfare. I get my meds thru the mail so they need a script 15 days prior before mailing it out. She only writes her script for 3 months so you have to go back and see her. Which is fine but my script ran out before the 3 months and she refused to fill it over the phone. It was an anti-depressant, you can't stop an anti-depressant cold turkey. There are serious withdrawal effects. She should now that. She treated me as if I was asking for an illegal drug or something. Plus if she was so concerned to see me she would have called me after knowing I had surgery to see if my cancer has spread. Great Lady....NOT!!!!!!!
