Dr. Shahnawaz Sulaiman Jaffer, MD

I have had my share of Gastro Doctors especially in this area. He is great. I just started going to him and he wastes no time. He is very patient and he listens. Not many doctors really listen! I would highly recommend him .

I have never had a doctor who was so caring and spent so much time answering all of my questions as Dr. Jaffer does. I certainly would recommend him to all of my family and friends. This doctor really cares about his patients.

Please don't go to see this doctor. Look for someone else your health is very important! This is the worst doctor ever. He portrays himself as a good man, a God's believer even telling you that he will pray for you. I first saw him because I was having abdominal pain on my right side, he did a colonoscopy, told me that I had a minor infection and gave me antibiotics, he had me coming back and forth for like 3 months without telling me what was my problem, my brother is a doctor and I had to suggest tests since he never did anything really to help me. I asked him for a h pilory test and it came back positive in my blood, then a couple of weeks later I ask for it again and he did it again (he has a lab in his office) later I learned that the h pilory was going to come back positive anyway because it remains alive in your blood stream for a while even if you don't have it active anymore. Didn't he know that??? I was at the hospital for several days, he just said it was an infection, after… that I still had the pain, then he made me go 3 times a week to his office and take blood every single time, once I asked and he was testing me for Cholesterol, really??????? He just wants your money. Please don't go if you want to get better. After 3 months of pain I visited another gastroenterologist, brought all my tests and he told me that all the time I was having the irritable bowl syndrome (IBS), he gave me a diet that day and the day after my pain was GONE. Dr. Jaffer had me on a diet that was causing more pain.

Dr. Jaffer is a humble and wonderful practitioner. He takes time with each patient insuring that you understand the diagnosis options, and possible outcomes. He leaves no stone unturned in every attempt to diagnose and seek treatment in your best interest. He treats what he can and does not attempt to treat what he is not trained to treat. If in the process of the diagnosis he finds your treatment would be better managed by another, Dr. Jaffer will seek competent treatment from other physicians following up with them confirming your successful treatment. I have recommended many friends who say they love Dr. Jaffer.

Dr. Jaffer is a kind, gentle person who has a key ingredient that most doctors lack: patience. He explains things in as much detail as you wish, never hurrying or making you feel as if someone else is waiting. Great guy, great practice. I have referred several of my friends, and they all feel the same way. A rare find in today's world.

doesn't take time with his patients. He comes in the door and ready to leave. You are lucky he spends 1 minute with you and then he leaves.
