Dr. Shahram Shawn Solhpour, MD

Highly recommend Dr. Solhpour. He has done both knees, total knee replacements, and repaired two large tears in two of my rotators in my left shoulder. Very informative with lots of information about the procedures, expected outcomes, and always entertains any questions a patient has. I have never felt rushed when seeing him over the last 13 years. He also gives related statistics to his diagnosis.

Saw him for shoulder pain and he diagnosed mod/sev arthritis. Have not had surgery yet, but that may be necessary later. He did an excellent job on my wife's ACL surgery. Would highly recommend to anyone requiring orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Shawn Solhpour is an exceptional surgeon. He performed surgery on both my knees. The First one was a full knee replacement last June 2022. The Second knee surgery was a partial knee surgery, June 2023. I have a rod in my knee from a broken leg 20 years ago that could not be removed. Dr Solhpour took my case and came up with an idea to do a 3-D MRI and found a way to put in partial knee replacement. He was able to complete the partial knee surgery by 1 millimeter. Dr. Solhpour helped me walk and exercise again. It is August 16th and I will be doing water aerobics tomorrow. That is 8 weeks after surgery, I will be in the water again. Thank you to Dr Solhpour! He has excellent bedside manners; he is so honest and positive. I have and would recommend Dr. Solhpour to many friends that are suffering from knee pain.

Dr. Solhpour is probably the most kind and most knowledgeable physician I have ever met. After an exercise-related ACL tear, Dr. Solhpour successfully replaced my ACL with part of my hamstring. He weighed the options of allograft versus autograft with me as well as which harvest locations were viable, and based on my age and desire to return to sport, I selected an autograft hamstring. I felt very informed in the process. Dr. Solhpour has the ability to provide numeric facts and figures from memory (percentages, outcome studies, medical journal references), yet he also has the bedside manner to discuss your condition with you as person, not just a patient. In addition to the ACL surgery, due to the statistical probability for reinjury based on my anatomy (as I'm unfortunately "knock-kneed"), he also performed an LCL allograft. I am exceptionally impressed with him. Following my surgery, I had numerous follow-ups, and referrals as needed for physical therapy. He seemed very invested in… my progress, my desire to return to sport as safely as possible, and my overall well-being. He takes time to listen and answer questions and concerns, and I never once felt rushed in my office visits with him. Dr. Solhpour has my highest recommendation. He is truly a professional with a great "heart" for patient care. I'm happy to say that I was able to return to activity safely, thanks to Dr. Solhpour.

Dr. Solhpour did my first knee replacment in 2009. I had great results and recovered quickly. I just had my other knee done in April 2023. I had the replacment done in the morning and was home by 3:00 pm. I used the walker for four days and didn't need it after that. I never used a cane and I drove my car after one week. I was amazed at how quickly I recovered. I would recommed Dr. Solhpour to anyone.

I have had the pleasure of being a patient of Dr. Solphour’s for many years. Over the years, I have come to value his opinion greatly. He is a kind caring doctor, very professional, and who is always willing to take the time to listen to his patients. He patiently explains all of your options, and what to expect, if surgery is needed. He performed two knee replacements on my knees. The doctor never pressured me when to have the surgery. It was always my decision, when it would occur. After each surgery, Dr. Solphour made himself available to me and encouraged me, if I had any questions or concerns, to call his office immediately. I have been a patient of Dr. Solhpour for about 10 years and am so pleased to be able to write this review. He is absolutely the most knowledgeable, compassionate, professional and caring orthopedic doctor who completed very successfully a full knee replacement on my right knee. Prior to my surgery in June 2022, for many years, I was in consultation with him on my right knee which was beginning to concern me because of the occasion pain and poorer mobility in that knee. I appreciated Dr. Sohlpour in how he listened to my concerns, never rushed me into some decision I wasn't ready to make, always gave me the diagnosis of the condition of my knee and for a few years, the cortisone shots did hold up for my knee. I am very grateful that after all the discussions and review of the condition of my knee, I was able to make my own decision on when to have my surgery. I was never rushed into that decision and for that I am very grateful because I was truly ready for the surgery mentally and… emotionally. Had TKR that needed to be revised 1 year post operation because the device was poorly fit by Shahram Solhpour. The revision surgeon at a major local Healthcare system said that Solhpour cut away too much bone in the initial installation and that any future revisions down the road will not be possible. My future medical options after this revision knee replacement fails will probably be amputation. Please seek other opinions before going through with surgery.
