Dr. Shalini Varshney Mahajan, MD

I faced a near-catastrophic vaccine reaction a few years back, and Dr. Mahajan was incredibly capable and caring. She not only managed to stop and reverse the situation; she made sure to get a thorough appraisal of the aftermath and hook me up with the right team moving forward. The thing that stood out to me the most about the experience was how warm and caring she was… In a potentially life-altering situation this really makes all the difference. I’m so grateful to Dr. Mahajan for taking such excellent care of me. Anyone who is lucky enough to have her as their doctor can rest easy—she is truly the best there is. I doubt if I've ever been in more capable hands, at a time in my life when I needed that the most. To know she also truly cared about the outcome meant a lot to me.

Dr. Mahajan and her staff are amazing. I was literally suffering for months before I stepped into Dr. Mahajan’s office. Not only did she find the correct diagnosis that so many others couldn’t, it wasn’t even entirely related to her field of Neurology. She saw beyond her own specialty and realized more was going on. She absolutely saved my life by referring me to a surgeon. I had emergency surgery 2 DAYS LATER!! I will be forever grateful! AND I’m so lucky to have her now treating the remaining Neurological issues with such personal care and understanding. I couldn’t recommend more highly!

Highly trained staff...they are polite and efficient. Wait time to see Dr. Mahajan was less than 5 minutes. Exam was thorough. Dr. Mahajan, who holds 3 board certifications, was able to quickly diagnose and resolved my medical issue.

I have had issues with Autoimmune diseases for years. I was robbed of my energy, my ability to eat normally, I broke out in profuse sweating for no reason, and generally had a poor quaility of life. She was able to diagnosis me and identify treatments that significantly improved my quality of life. I would highly recommend her to anyone having the same issues.

Dr. Shalini Mahajan literally gave me my life back. After a bad car accident, which then triggered a rare autoimmune disease, I was sent to Dr. Mahajan by a neurologist, as he very much admires her expertise with my condition. Immediately, Shalini made me feel I was finally in the hands of someone who knew what they were doing (after having already seen renowned doctors to no avail). She completely took charge of my care for this rare condition. I felt seen and heard, and was not treated like I had a paper bag over my head. I was treated the way a member of her own family would be treated, with grace, compassion, and kindness. My daughter and I were not rushed with any questions we had, and she asked us many questions during the exam. Besides how embracing her personality was, we breathed a huge sigh of relief as her experience and talent as a medical expert were evident. I went from being an invalid, wheelchair bound, barely able to use my legs and arms, to now back to being… myself- driving, walking, babysitting my grandkids, and feeling like a vital woman again. I will be under her care with this disease, and fortunately so. You are a very lucky person to find Dr. Mahajan. My family and I are ever grateful to her.

Dr. Mahajan is an amazing doctor. She is very caring and she has a comprehensive approach in her evaluation. She has warm personality and she is very courteous. Her staff reflects the same, they are exceptional.

I came to Dr. Mahajan's beautiful office for a slight tremor in my hand. I was pretty scared because my dad had Parkinson's and was this a sign that I was also getting it? Her staff were lovely and attentive and I immediately felt better the moment Dr. Mahajan stepped into my room. She did an initial examination followed up by a nerve test. She is so warm and has a great sense of humor which totally put me at ease. And I never felt rushed!! When she called a few days later to give me her final evaluation (I'm fine, thanks for asking!) again - she was so easy to speak with. Lots of doctors ask patients questions but she truly LISTENS! To me, that is the very definition of an excellent physician. I couldn't recommend Dr. Shalini Mahajan high enough.

Following my back surgery (7 hours), I continued to have considerable difficulty walking and my calf muscles atrophied. My back surgeon referred me to Dr Mahajan for which I am very grateful. Dr Mahajan explains things very clearly and and in a way that I can easily grasp and understand. She takes her time and doesn't rush. She is extremely knowledgeable about my medical issues, is very empathic and reassuring, has a great bedside manner and a sense of humor, has a gentle technique for administering tests, and genuinely cares about me and my wellbeing. I am truly very lucky to have her as my physician. I suspect many others feel the same way

I had a face-to-face appointment as well as a video call with the doctor. Had a procedure recently and she determined that the previous diagnosis was not accurate. She is extremely knowledgeable, easy to interface with her and has passion for her profession. The staff is great as well! Highly recommended.
